Pulaski County scored on a blocked punt return by Jerricho Dixon from 10 yards with 1:05 left in the game and Logan Corson tacked on the conversion kick to give the Maroons a 21-15 come-from-behind victory over Madison Southern. Madison Southern had their first two quarterbacks leave the game with injuries and Pulaski County scored all 21 points by the defense or special teams. They were held to 59 yards of total offense. Pulaski County recorded six first downs and 59 yards of total offense. The Maroons were penalized seven times for 81 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted. Madison Southern recorded 12 first downs and 284 yards of total offense. They were penalized 10 times for 109 yards and had two passes intercepted.
Drew Polston led Pulaski County’s ground game with 20 yards on seven carries. Tristan Cox carried the ball four times for 17 yards. Drew Polston completed 13 of 17 passes for 34 yards with two interceptions. Barek Williams caught eight passes for -1 yards. Jacob Shepherd added three receptions for 22 yards. Chandler Godby added two receptions for 13 yards. Kaleb Adams and Donavan Abbott each returned a kickoff for 26 and 19 yards respectively. Cody Nichols led the defense with seven solo and four assisted tackles. Layton Abbott added four solo and seven assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards. Kaleb Adams recorded two solo and five assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards and scored on a 31 yard interception return. Jerricho Dixon chipped in with one solo and six assisted tackles and scored on a 10 yard blocked punt return. Christi. Slavey scored on a 70 yard interception return.
Walter Smith led Madison Southern’s ground game with 102 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Adrian Jones carried the ball 12 times for 28 yards. Cameron Holbrook added five times for 12 yards and a touchdown. Cole Carpenter completed 12 of 19 passes for 111 yards with two interceptions. Ethan Woods completed two of eight passes for 18 yards. Walter Smith caught seven passes for 63 yards. Jaysh. Ethridge added three receptions for 17 yards. Clay Bunch led the defense with six solo tackles and intercepted a pass he returned for 26 yards. Brayden Carson added three solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 15 yards. Cameron Holbrook recorded three solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 19 yards. Xavi. Strothman recorded three solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 19 yards.
