Franklin County coach Joey Thacker started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Josie Thacker, 5-6 So. Jasmine Simpson, 5-8 Samareah Levarity, 5-5 Sr. Kindall Talley, and 5-5 Sr. Emily Jordan.  Woodford County coach Steve Jaco countered with 5-10 Jr. Nia Jaco, 5-7 So. Abby Moffett, 6-0 So. Franklin County defeated Woodford County 46-42 to capture a big early season district victory.  Franklin County shot 32.6% from the field including six of 18 from the three point line.  The Lady Flyers connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and committed 15 turnovers.  Woodford County shot 38.1% from the field including five of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Yellowjackets connected on only five of 22 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and committed 18 turnovers.

5-10 8^th Grade Patience Laster led Franklin County with 11 points, 17 rebounds, and five blocked shots.  Kindall Talley added 11 points including three three point baskets and four assists.  Josie Thacker recorded 10 points including two three point baskets.  Jasmine Simpson chipped in with eight points.

Delaney Enlow led Woodford County with 12 points, 13 rebounds, five blocked shots, and three steals.  Abby Hudson added 11 points including two three point baskets.  Abby Moffett recorded nine points including two three point baskets.  Nia Jaco pulled down nine rebounds.

Lafayette defeated Christian Academy of Louisville by a score of 84-52.  Lafayette shot 53.4% from the field including 10 of 25 from the three point line.  The Generals connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 25 CAL turnovers.  CAL shot 42.5% from the field including four of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Centurions connected on 14 of 25 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 15 Lafayette turnovers.

Ray Suratt led Lafayette with 14 points and four rebounds.  Cameron King added 13 points including three three point baskets.  Eric Powell recorded 11 points including three three point baskets and eight assists.  Fousseyni Diallo added 11 points, four assists, and four steals.  6-2 Sr. Devontae Hayes added 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Wyatt Allison led CAL with 12 points including seven of 10 free throws.  6-2 Jr. Eric Mowder II also scored 12 points and pulled down four rebounds.

The score was tied 17-17 at halftime but Henry Clay pulled away in the second half to earn a 44-27 victory over Madison Central.  Madison Central only connected on one field goal in 11 attempts in the second half.  Henry Clay shot 25.9% from the field including five of 22 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on nine of 11 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 22 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 21.9% from the field including one of eight from beyond the arc.  The Lady Indians connected on 12 of 24 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored one point off 10 Henry Clay turnovers.

Kiya Thompson led Henry Clay with eight points and seven rebounds.  Braxton Price added eight points, four rebounds, and three steals.  Alexis Lutz recorded seven points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Cheyenne Jones added four points, seven rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals.

Henry Clay utilized a balanced scoring attack with five players scoring in double figures to defeat Eastern by a score of 80-59.  Henry Clay shot 48.3% from the field including five of 19 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 19 of 25 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 15 Eastern turnovers.  Eastern shot 39.2% from the field including eight of 27 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on 11 of 17 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 10 points off six Henry Clay turnovers.
