Franklin County coach Joey Thacker started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Princess Stewart, 5-6 Sr. Savannah Courtney, 5-10 Sr. Rebecca Cook, 5-4 8th Grade Brooklynn Miles, and 5-5 Jr. Kindall Talley. Elizabethtown coach Donnie Swiney countered with 5-10 So. Leikyn Walker, 5-7 Jr. Karson Knight, 5-9 Sr. Taylor Thomas, 5-4 Jr. Tanisia Murphy, and 5-8 Sr. Jada Stinson.
Franklin County defeated Elizabethtown 57-54 to capture a tough road win against a quality opponent. The score was tied five times and there were four lead changes in this game. Elizabethtown led 25-17 at halftime but Franklin County outscored the Lady Panthers 26-11 in the third quarter to take a 43-36 lead after three quarters. Franklin County shot 40.5% from the field including seven of 18 from the three point line. The Lady Flyers connected on 16 of 19 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 12 Elizabethtown turnovers. Elizabethtown shot 33.3% from the field including three of 12 from beyond the arc. The Lady Panthers connected on 17 of 23 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 16 Franklin County turnovers.
Savannah Courtney led Franklin County with 17 points including three three point baskets. Rebecca Cook added 12 points, 10 rebounds, four blocked shots, and two steals. Brooklynn Miles also scored 12 points, six rebounds, and four steals. Princess Stewart recorded nine points and four rebounds.
Taylor Thomas led Elizabethtown with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Jada Stinson added 10 points, eight rebounds, and two steals. 5-11 Fr. Whitney Hay also scored 10 points including two three point baskets. Leikyn Walker recorded five points and 11 rebounds.
