Scott coach Steven Fromeyer started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Jaycob Pouncy, 5-8 Jr. Nelson Perrin, 5-10 Sr. Tim Jolly, 5-10 So. Chad Ohmer, and 5-10 Sr. Jake Ohmer.  Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III countered with 5-10 Sr. Jajuante Carpenter, 5-10 Jr. Eric Powell, 6-1 Sr. Cameron Greenup, 5-9 Sr. Chris Wharton, and 5-10 So. Evan Dreux.

Evan Dreux hit a shot in the closing seconds to give Lafayette a 73-71 victory over Scott.  Scott had a final shot for the tie of victory but missed the attempt.  Scott trailed 55-45 after three quarters but rallied in the final quarter.  Lafayette shot 41.2% from the field including seven of 31 from the three point line.  The Generals connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 31 points off 24 Scott turnovers.  Scott shot 54% from the field including seven of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 19 Lafayette turnovers.

Eric Powell led Lafayette with 15 points including two three point baskets.  6-1 Jr. Cameron King added 14 points including two three point baskets.  Evan Dreux recorded 13 points including two three point baskets.  6-1 Jr. Devontae Hayes chipped in with 12 points and 10 rebounds.  Jajuante Carpenter added 11 points. 

Jake Ohmer led Scott with 22 points including two three point baskets, five assists, and four steals.  Chad Ohmer added 17 points including three three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Jaycob Pouncy recorded 13 points including two three point baskets.

Southwestern coach Chris Baker started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Joe Floyd, 6-0 Jr. Logan Dykes, 6-2 Sr. Payton Cundiff, 5-9 Sr. Peyton Gover, and 5-8 Jr. Hunter Stevens.  Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-6 So. Michael Moreno, 6-2 Jr. Cooper Robb, 6-4 Sr. Cooper Watts, 6-1 So. Bryce Long, and 6-1 So. Lorenzo Williams.

Scott County utilized their size advantage to control the boards in an 89-81 victory over Southwestern.  Scott County led 69-44 in the third quarter but Southwestern scrapped back to make a game of it outscoring Scott County 32-18 in the final quarter.  Scott County shot 43.7% from the field including three of 11 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 24 of 32 free throws, pulled down 54 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 11 Southwestern turnovers.  Southwestern shot 40.7% from the field including 14 of 35 from beyond the arc.  The Warriors connected on 19 of 23 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 15 Scott County turnovers.

Michael Moreno led Scott County with 35 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Cooper Watts added 14 points, 18 rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Lorenzo Williams recorded 12 points and four rebounds.  Cooper Robb chipped in with 10 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and two steals.  Bryce Long also recorded 10 points.

Peyton Gover led Southwestern with 28 points including six three point baskets and three steals.  5-11 Sr. Hunter Cromer added 17 points including three three point baskets.  Hunter Stevens chipped in with 13 points including two three point baskets.  Joe Floyd recorded 10 points and six rebounds.

Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Lindsey Johns, 5-10 Sr. Charity Mack, 6-0 Sr. Mallie Cornett, 5-4 Jr. Bailee Vanover, and 5-7 Sr. Kasi Schneid.  Southwestern coach Stephen Butcher II countered with 5-9 Sr. Hailey Updike, 5-8 Sr. Cassi Reed, 5-10 Sr. Bethany Duncan, 5-4 8^th Grade Alexa Smiddy, and 5-8 Fr. Kennedy Harris.

Madison Central dampened the Southwestern senior night celebration which by the way was a first class tribute to the three departing seniors with a 62-48 victory over the host Southwestern team.  Southwestern came out blazing from long range as they led 21-17 after the first quarter on the strength of five three point baskets.  Madison Central rallied and was clinging to a 33-32 lead at halftime.  Southwestern went cold from the field in the second half shooting 22.2% from the field after intermission including zero of 11 from beyond the arc and Madison Central pulled away for a big road win over a young but very talented Southwestern squad.  Madison Central started the season 1-5 but with a vastly improved defense improves to 19-7 with tonight’s victory.

Madison Central shot 58.3% from the field including seven of 13 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 13 of 19 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored nine points off 12 Southwestern turnovers.  Southwestern shot 32% from the field including six of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Warriors connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 13 Madison Central turnovers.

Lindsey Johns led Madison Central with 23 points including three three point baskets.  Bailee Vanover added 16 points, five rebounds, six assists, and three steals.  Mallie Cornett recorded 10 points, five rebounds, and seven blocks.  Kasi Schneid chipped in with seven points, six rebounds, and three assists.  Charity Mack added six points, eight rebounds, and three assists.

5-10 Fr. Regi Cundiff came off the bench to score 17 points including nine of nine free throws and five rebounds.  Alexa Smiddy added 12 points on four three point baskets.  Kennedy Harris recorded eight points.  Cassi Reed added six points, five rebounds, six assists, two blocked shots, and two steals.

Lincoln County defeated Boyle County 112-110 in overtime in a game that set a new record for total points (222) scored in a girls’ basketball game.  Lincoln County trailed by 12 points after three quarters but rallied to tie the game at 91 all and force overtime.  Lincoln County trailed with three seconds left in regulation but Maddy Boyle picked off an inbounds pass and was fouled on a shot attempt.  Boyle hit both free throws to send the game to overtime.  Lincoln County took their first lead of the game early in overtime but Boyle County had a last second three point attempt for the win bounce off the rim.

Lincoln County shot 47.5% from the field including five of 17 from the three point line, connected on 31 of 39 free throws, and pulled down 37 rebounds.  Boyle County shot 57.6% from the field including 10 of 18 from beyond the arc, connected on 25 of 37 free throws, and pulled down 36 rebounds.

5-11 So. Emma King led Lincoln County with 31 points, six rebounds, and four assists.  5-10 So. Haley Southerland added 27 points and 10 rebounds.  5-11 So. Kaitlynn Wilks recorded 22 points and six rebounds.  5-4 So. Maddy Boyle added 20 points and six assists.

5-10 Sr. Emmie Harris led Boyle County with 31 points and six rebounds.  5-8 So. McKayla Baker added 26 points and seven rebounds.  5-6 Jr. Danielle Roney recorded 17 points and eight rebounds.  5-10 Jr. Gracie Edmiston chipped in with 15 points and six rebounds.  5-11 Jr. Becca Tarter also reached double figures with 10 points.

Michael Moreno led Scott County with 29 points including four three point baskets, 10 rebounds, and three assists.  Cooper Robb added 16 points and eight rebounds.  Bryce Long chipped in with 16 points.

Bullitt East led 23-21 at halftime but Franklin County fueled by an 18-8 run in the third quarter rallied for a 62-56 road victory over Bullitt East.  Franklin County shot 43.2% from the field including seven of 20 from the three point line.  The Lady Flyers connected on 17 of 24 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and committed 21 turnovers.  Bullitt East shot 37.3% from the field including three of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Chargers connected on nine of 10 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and committed 16 turnovers.

Monroe County trailed 39-34 after three quarters but rallied to defeat Allen County-Scottsville by a score of 53-49.  Monroe County shot 37.2% from the field including zero of four from the three point line.  They connected on 21 of 27 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 18 Allen County-Scottsville turnovers.  Allen County-Scottsville shot 35.2% from the field including five of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Patriots connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored six points off 13 Monroe County turnovers.

Kelsey Johnson led Monroe County with 21 points including 11 of 16 free throws and eight rebounds.  Reagan Turner added 14 points and four steals.  Ashley Geralds recorded nine points, three rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
