Lindi DeBilzan, 5-10 Sr. Kiara Pankins, 5-4 Jr. Terri Abram, and 5-9 Jr. Caroline Bennett.

 

Lafayette defeated Bryan Station by a score of 68-43.  Lafayette shot 48.2% from the field including three of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 11 of 19 from the free throw line, pulled down 48 rebounds, and scored nine points of 13 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 28.1% from the field including five of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Defenders connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 16 Lafayette turnovers.

 

Caroline Bennett led Lafayette with 21 points and 10 rebounds.  Kiara Pankins added 13 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocked shots.  5-8 Fr. Shelbi Wilson chipped in with nine points.  Lindi DeBilzan recorded seven points, seven rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots.

 

Jlyn Martin led Bryan station with 14 points including four three point baskets.  5-6 Sr. Carah Burdette added 12 points and five assists.  Emoni Washington chipped in with 11 points and four rebounds.

Cooper defeated Scott County by a score of 74-63.  Cooper shot 47.7% from the field including seven of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Jaguars connected on 25 of 32 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 21 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 37.5% from the field including six of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on nine of 20 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 29 Cooper turnovers.

 

Lexi Held led Cooper with 19 points, five assists, and seven steals.  Asyah Mitchell added 16 points, five rebounds, and four assists.  Jr. Emily Bleska recorded 15 points including three three point baskets and six rebounds.  Hailey Anderson also scored 15 points.  Kendra Smith recorded eight points and seven rebounds. 

 

Peyton Riddle led Scott County with 21 points including three three point baskets, seven rebounds, and five steals.  Maaliya Owens added 16 points and three steals.  Kadee Hudson recorded 10 points, seven rebounds, and three steals.

Luke Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 20 points, four rebounds, five assists, and five steals.  Peter Whitman added 14 points and nine rebounds.  Zan Payne recorded 11 points and 10 rebounds.  Blake Scott also scored 11 points including three three point baskets.

Kaelie Frazier hit a three point basket in the closing seconds of overtime to give Whitley County a 63-60 victory over Clay County tonight.  Whitley County held a 46-35 lead in the final quarter but Clay County’s Kaylee Mathis nailed a three point basket at the buzzer to tie the game at 53-53 and force overtime.  Whitley County shot 44.4% from the field including 14 of 32 from the three point line.  The Lady Colonels connected on five of five from the free throw line, pulled down 20 rebounds, and committed nine turnovers.  Clay County shot 58.1% from the field including four of nine from beyond the arc.  The Lady Tigers connected six of 10 free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and committed 10 turnovers.

 

5-5 Jr. Abbey Estes led Whitley County with 19 points.  5-2 So. Kaelie Frazier added 15 points.  5-2 Jr. Hannah Clear and 5-10 Jr. Seirra Feltner recorded 14 and nine points respectively.

 

5-9 Fr. Kaylee Mathis led Clay County with 27 points.  5-9 So. Summer Parker added 20 points and 5-6 So. Shelby Phillips chipped in with eight points and six rebounds.  5-4 8th Grade Taylor Asher starting PG was not able to play tonight due to illness.
