Western Hills coach Raymond Ritchie Jr. started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Haleigh Conley, 5-6 Jr. Katherine Mangeot, 5-11 So. Shelby Dews, 5-4 Jr. Alexis True, and 5-6 Jr. Montana Muravchick.  Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 5-10 Sr. Lindsey Johns, 5-10 Sr. Charity Mack, 6-0 Sr. Mallie Cornett, 5-4 Jr. Bailee Vanover, and 5-7 Sr. Kasi Schneid.

 

Madison Central raced out to a 17-9 first quarter lead on their way to a much needed 65-36 victory over Western Hills.  Madison Central shot 46.6% from the field including six of 14 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 18 Western Hills turnovers.  Western Hills shot 29.4% from the field including five of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Wolverines connected on one of one free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored seven points off eight Madison Central turnovers. 

 

Lindsey Johns led Madison Central with 20 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, six assists, and three steals.  Bailee Vanover added 17 points and three steals.  Mallie Cornett recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds and also blocked five shots and limited Western Hills’ opportunities in the paint.  Kasi Schneid added seven points, six rebounds, eight assists, and two steals.

 

Alexis True led Western Hills with 12 points.  Shelby Dews added six points and six rebounds.  Katherine Mangeot recorded four points and eight rebounds.

Lincoln County dominated play tonight in an 81-47 victory over Madison Central.  Madison Central was outplayed in every aspect of the game and was never in contention as Lincoln County took a 19-9 first quarter lead and was never threatened.  Lincoln County shot 45.7% from the field including eight of 24 from the three point line.  The Patriots connected on nine of 11 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 29 points off 23 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 31.4% from the field including three of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Indians connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 13 Lincoln County turnovers.

 

Emma King led Lincoln County with 23 points including three three point baskets, seven rebounds, six assists, and four steals.  Kaitlynn Wilks added 14 points, six rebounds, and four steals.  Jenna King recorded 13 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.  5-9 So. Haley Southerland added 10 points and six rebounds.

 

Lindsey Johns led Madison Central with 24 points, 13 rebounds, and four steals.  Mallie Cornett added 10 points, eight rebounds, four blocked shots, and three steals.

Mercy Academy defeated Scott County by a score of 68-54.  Mercy Academy shot 39.4% from the field including six of 20 from the three point line.  The Jaguars connected on only 10 of 29 free throws, pulled down 50 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 12 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 27.1% from the field including one of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 21 of 34 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored six points off 11 Mercy Academy turnovers.

 

Josie Woods led Mercy Academy with 18 points and five rebounds.  Sadie Zeisloft added 17 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, and three steals.  Regan Berger recorded 15 points and six assists.  Raquael Reese chipped in with seven points and eight rebounds.  Danielle Feldkamp added six points and 10 rebounds.

Lincoln County trailed 48-44 after three quarters but rallied to defeat Bryan Station by a score of 76-69.  Lincoln County shot 54.3% from the field including nine of 12 from the three point line.  The Patriots connected on 17 of 24 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 10 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 50% from the field including seven of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Defenders connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 12 Lincoln County turnovers.

 

Noah Young led Lincoln County with 25 points including 13 of 16 free throws.  Devin Alcorn added 24 points including five three point baskets.  Chase Phillips chipped in with 13 points.  Tanner McAninch recorded eight points, 11 rebounds, and four assists.
