University of Kentucky eventually pulled away to defeat a game Eastern Kentucky University team by a score of 88-67.  Kentucky shot 54.7% from the field including four of 19 from the three point line.  The Wildcats connected on 14 of 20 free throws, pulled down 50 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 13 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Kentucky held a 29-9 advantage in second chance points.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 40% from the field including five of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 17 Kentucky turnovers.

Eastern Kentucky University, fueled by some clutch free throw shooting (17-18) by Jarelle Reischel rallied to defeat Savannah State by a score of 74-71.  The score was tied six times and there were eight lead changes in the game.  Eastern Kentucky shot 37.5% from the field including eight of 30 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 24 of 27 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 25 Savannah State turnovers.  Savannah State shot 52.4% from the field including one of 13 from beyond the arc.  They connected on 26 of 39 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 19 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

Vince Toftness hit a three point basket in the closing seconds to give Owen County a 73-70 come-from-behind victory.  Henry Clay led 55-46 after three quarters but Owen County outscored Henry Clay 27-15 in the final quarter.  Owen County shot 52.7% from the field including eight of 21 from the three point line.  The Rebels connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 13 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 49.1% from the field including nine of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Blue Devils connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored nine points off eight Owen County turnovers.

Carson Williams led Owen County with 33 points, 13 rebounds, and four assists.  Chad McDonald added 14 points including four three point baskets.  Vince Toftness recorded 12 points including three three point baskets.
