I have had some inquiries about whether girls in the state of Kentucky can attend fall events the weekend of September 25-27. After talking with Julian Tackett, the commissioner of the KHSAA, he has assured me that girls can attend any fall event that particular weekend in September without jeopardizing their eligibility. The KHSAA did change their boys bylaw for the fall but left intact the girls' fall bylaw which has been in place for several years. Hope that clears up any confusion should one be considering our Louisville Girls Fall Showcase at Bullitt Central High School in Shepherdsville, KY, on September 26th.

Sincerely,

Rick Bolus

Camp Director and Scout since 1973

Member of the Selection Committee for the Naismith Awards

P.S. Our preseason fall positioner regardless of class will be published around the first of September so stayed tuned.

I have received several emails and phone calls concerning girls in the state of Kentucky attending fall events the weekend of September 25-27. I personally talked with Julian Tackett, the commissioner of the KHSAA, and he assured me that girls in the state of Kentucky can attend any event that particular weekend of Sepetmber 25-27. The KHSAA made some changes in their bylaws about boys attending fall events but the girls' bylaws remain the same as in past years. Hope that clears up the issue.
