The # 16 Scott County Lady Cardinals defeated Lincoln County by a score of 72-67 at Scott County.  Scott County was led in scoring by sophomore point guard, Audriana Christopher with 22 points and 4 assists.  Sophomore forward, Tereka Guyn had a double double with 21 points and 13 rebounds.  Senior guard Mary Logsdon also added 14 points as well in the victory.  Scott County outscored Lincoln County in the deciding second half by a score of 41-32.  Lincoln County was led in scoring by junior guard, Emily Fox with 15 points, including three 3 pointers.

Clarksville proved they were worthy of their lofty reputation as they easily defeated Scott County by a score of 102-43.  Clarksville shot 50.6% from the field including four of 18 from the three point line.  The Wildcats connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 60 rebounds, and scored 30 points off 23 Scott County turnovers.  Clarksville held a 30-17 advantage on second effort points.  Scott County shot 22.2% from the field including three of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 12 of 18 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored six points off 11 Clarksville turnovers.

Bashaara Graves led Clarksville with 31 points, 28 rebounds, and seven assists.  Jessy Ward added 18 points and six assists.  Tiasha Gray chipped in with 17 points, five rebounds, and five assists.  Chandler Cooper recorded 15 points.  Bashaara Graves was named Game MVP for Clarksville.

The inaugural Allgood Hoops/Fern Valley Hotel RUN-N-SHOOT Classic featured one of the nation’s top 5 teams (Clarksville, TN) and one of the country’s top 5 players in Bashaara Graves (Clarksville, TN) and both team and player put on quite a show for the fans at Louisville Male High School, KY on December 10^th.  Clarksville (TN) defeated Scott County (KY) by a score of 102-43 with Graves scoring 31 points and hauling in 28 rebounds.  Graves who has signed with Tennessee will easily be a McDonald’s All-American this season.  Eight teams representing three states participated.  Below were the top college prospects for the event which was directed by Jeff Allgood of Allgood Hoops.

Dunbar outscored Ryle 17-1 in the final quarter to earn a 54-43 victory.  Ryle led 37-22 in the third quarter but Dunbar rallied behind 12 points in the quarter by Morgan McEldowney to cut the deficit to five; 42-37 after thee quarters.  Dunbar dominated the final quarter as Ryle’s Jenna Crittendon fouled out with 6:45 left in the game.  LaKeena Parks led the surge for Dunbar with eight points in the final quarter.

Dunbar shot 38.1% from the field including three of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Bulldogs connected on 19 of 26 free throws.  Ryle shot 38.6% from the field including three of six from beyond the arc.  The Lady Raiders connected on six of 12 free throws.

Lafayette utilized a good shooting night (53.2%) from the field in a 59-45 victory over Rockcastle County.  Lafayette shot 53.2% from the field including five of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on four of six free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 11 Rockcastle County turnovers.  Rockcastle County shot 33.3% from the field including three of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Rockets connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored nine points off 13 Lafayette turnovers.

Sarah Cooley led Lafayette with 17 points and five rebounds.  Ken’yale Demus added 13 points including three three point baskets.  Sarah Martin also reached double figures with 10 points.  5-7 Sr. Aleisha Stiltner came off the bench to add nine points.

Michaela Hunter led Rockcastle County with 17 points and seven rebounds.  Kadi Cobb added 13 points and eight rebounds.  Alexis Chasteen chipped in with nine points.

Perry County Central’s 1-2 punch of Kayla Rankin (30 points) and Kendall Noble (20 points) proved to be too much for the Lady Defenders today as the Lady Commodores earned a 67-52 victory.  Perry County Central shot 43% from the field including six of 14 from the three point line.  The Lady Commodores connected on 17 of 32 free throws.  Bryan Station shot 34.5% from the field including one of eight from beyond the arc.  The Lady Defenders connected on 11 of 20 free throws.

Kayla Rankin and Kendall Noble led the victors with 30 and 20 points respectively.  Tamara Crawford added 12 points on four three point baskets.

Serena Sandusky led Bryan Station with 14 points.  5-6 Jr. Labianca Frazier added 11 points.

Sacred Heart defeated Ballard 56-46 to improve their record to 5-1 and hand the Lady Bruins (5-1) their first loss of the season.  Sacred Heart shot 47.8% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on seven of 19 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 24 Ballard turnovers.  Ballard shot 39.6% from the field including zero of one from beyond the arc.  The Lady Bruins connected on four of 18 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 23 Sacred Heart turnovers.

Raven Merriweather led Sacred Heart with 16 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists, three blocked shots, and three steals.  DaiJia Ruffin added 12 points and six rebounds.  Jade Tubb chipped in with nine points.

Javonna Layfield led Ballard with 18 points, 22 rebounds, and four steals.  Amherry Watkins added eight points and six steals.

Daulton Peters led five West Jessamine players in double figures with 12 points.  Chase Fain added 11 points and 10 rebounds.  6-1 Sr. Heath Jackson also recorded 11 points.  Jeff Ziemann recorded 10 points and seven rebounds and Robby Irgang also scored 10 points.

Luke Hill led Lincoln County with 20 points.  Trenton Edgington added 12 points including two three point baskets.  Carl Lewis Cummins also reached double figures with 10 points.
