Noah Smith.  Lexington Christian Academy coach Nate Valentine countered with 6-2 Sr. Will Hacker, 6-1 Sr. Matthew Johnson, 6-7 Sr. Kyle Rode, 5-10 Sr. Baylor Brown, and 6-0 Sr. Pearce Dalton.

 

Lexington Christian Academy defeated Western Hills by a score of 65-52.  LCA shot 49% from the field including six of 19 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on nine of 13 from the free throw line, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored nine points off 19 Western Hills turnovers.  Western Hills shot 44.9% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Wolverines connected on four of six free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 15 LCA turnovers.

 

Kyle Rode led LCA with 30 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists.  Will Hacker added 11 points.  6-1 Jr. Zeke Grier recorded nine points on three three point baskets.  Pearce Dalton chipped in with eight points.

 

Cameron Loman led Western Hills with 21 points and nine rebounds.  Peyton Cody added 16 points including four three point baskets and four rebounds.  James Robertson recorded 13 points, four rebounds, and three assists.

Mercy Academy scored 28 points off 25 Anderson County turnovers and recorded 14 steals in a 75-66 victory over Anderson County.  Mercy Academy shot 39.3% from the field including nine of 23 from the three point line.  The Jaguars connected on 18 of 24 free throws and pulled down 35 rebounds.  Anderson County shot 40% from the field including 11 of 31 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Bearcats connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 15 Mercy Academy turnovers.

 

Regan Berger led Mercy Academy with 20 points including five three point baskets and five rebounds.  Hope Sivori added 18 points including three three point baskets and nine steals.  Taziah Jenks recorded a triple-double with 14 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists, and two blocked shots.  Paige Taylor added 13 points, seven rebounds, and two steals.

 

Lauren Boblitt led Anderson County with 17 points including three three point baskets and nine rebounds.  5-7 So. Rachel Satterly added 12 points.  Sophie Smith recorded 11 points including three three point baskets and four rebounds.  Jaclynn Ruble chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds.  Tiffany Riley added seven points, six rebounds, and three steals.

Hannah Carlisle.  5-9 Sr. Jay Ballard is still out rehabbing an injury.  West Jessamine coach Chris Begley countered with 5-8 Sr. Faith Osborne, 5-8 So. Alleyse Steinkuhl, 6-0 Fr. Delaysia Thomas, 5-5 So. Haylee Rutherford, and 5-4 Sr. Madilynn McDonald.

 

Lexington Catholic pulled away late to earn a 52-45 come-from-behind victory over West Jessamine. Lexington Catholic outscored West Jessamine 15-6 in the final quarter. Neither team could find the range from the field but the game was played throughout at an up tempo with excellent effort from both squads.  Lexington Catholic shot 24.2% from the field including three of 16 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on 19 of 29 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 27 West Jessamine turnovers.  West Jessamine shot 28.9% from the field including four of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Colts connected on 15 of 21 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 18 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

 

Ariel West led Lexington Catholic with 15 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, three blocked shots, and three steals.  5-9 Fr. Chloe Treece added 10 points and nine rebounds.  Maylo Given recorded eight points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and three steals. 

 

Faith Osborne led West Jessamine with 18 points including two three point baskets, eight rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Madilynn McDonald added 12 points, four rebounds, two assists, and four steals.  Alleyse Steinkuhl pulled down nine rebounds.

Scott County led 40-35 at halftime but outscored Walton-Verona 36-17 in the third quarter on their way to a 98-69 victory.  Scott County scored 35 points off 22 Walton-Verona turnovers, recorded 19 steals, and six blocked shots.  The Cardinals also held a 51-24 advantage in three point points.  The score was tied four times and there were six lead changes in the game.  Scott County also had a 22-9 advantage in bench points.

 

Scott County shot 46.1% from the field including 17 of 36 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 11 of 15 free throws and pulled down 49 rebounds.  Walton-Verona shot 40.7% from the field including eight of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Bearcats connected on 13 of 20 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 17 Scott County turnovers.

 

Maaliya Owens led Scott County with 22 points including six three point baskets.  Morgan DeFoor added 20 points including six three point baskets and five rebounds.  Juliette Smith recorded 16 points including two three point baskets, eight assists, and seven steals.  Malea Williams added 11 points, 14 rebounds, and four blocked shots. 5-1 So. Scott County raced out to a 26-10 first quarter lead on their way to a 96-65 victory over a good South Laurel team.  Scott County shot a sizzling 62.3% from the field including 13 of 24 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 17 of 26 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 14 South Laurel turnovers.  South Laurel shot 45.1% from the field including seven of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Cardinals connected on 12 of 19 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 12 points off nine Scott County turnovers.

 

Diablo Stewart led Scott County with 25 points including three three point baskets.  Lorenzo Williams added 20 points including three three point baskets.  Williams was seven of eight from the field including three of four from beyond the arc and three of four free throws.  Cam Fluker added 12 points and Michael Moreno recorded 11 points, eight rebounds, three blocked shots, and two steals.  6-2 Jr. Michael McKenzie also reached double figures with 10 points.
