Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati) OH 39 Lafayette 0 – RJ Khayo carried the ball four times for 95 yards and a touchdown, caught six passes for 75 yards and a touchdown, and scored on a 60 yard punt return.

 

Boyle County 40 Collins 13 – Reed Lanter passed for three touchdowns and Tanner Crawford ran for two touchdowns to lead Boyle County.

 

Bowling Green 50 Warren Central 6 – Vito Tisdale carried the ball nine times for 158 yards and three touchdowns.

 

Breckinridge County 35 Ohio County 34 – Trevor Dyer carried the ball 44 times for 254 yards and five touchdowns and scored three two point conversions

 

Butler 62 Doss 13 – Eric Jackson carried the ball 13 times for 149 yards and three touchdowns, scored on a 79 yard kickoff return, sang the national anthem before the game, and was named Homecoming King at halftime.  Chaz Burks also threw four touchdown passes.

 

Caldwell County 34 Henderson County 14 – Joby Jaggers completed 18 of 30 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns.

Bowling Green scored on a 7 yard pass from Jarret Doege to Quintin Morris and a two point conversion pass from Jarret Doege to Wayne-Prather with 6:47 left in the game to earn a 42-35 come-from-behind victory over Eastern Kentucky.  EKU had one last opportunity and advanced to the Bowling Green 15 in the closing seconds but two passes into the end zone fell incomplete to ensure the Bowling Green victory.  Bowling Green recorded 26 first downs and 388 yards of total offense.  They were penalized eight times for 69 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Eastern Kentucky recorded 23 first downs and 498 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized seven times for 88 yards and lost three fumbles.

Andrew Clair led Bowling Green’s ground game with 90 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries.  Rico Frye carried the ball seven times for 37 yards.  Jarret Doege completed 28 of 39 passes for 258 yards and four touchdowns with one interception.  Quintin Morris caught eight passes for 93 yards and two touchdowns.  D. Phouthavong added seven catches for 82 yards and two touchdowns.  RB Marlow recorded seven receptions for 45 yards.  Jerry McBride led the defense with nine solo and five assisted tackles and recovered a fumble he returned 50 yards.  Brandon Harris added five solo and eight assisted tackles.  Kholbe Coleman recorded four solo and six assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Karl Brooks added six solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss.  Fred Garth tallied eight assisted tackles and Melvin Jackson recorded a fumble.

Daryl McCleskey led Eastern Kentucky’s ground game with 168 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries.  Dakota Allen carried the ball 10 times for 63 yards and a touchdown.  LJ Scott added 50 yards on 10 carries.  Alphonso Howard carried the ball five times for 27 yards and a touchdown.  Dakota Allen completed six of 14 passes for 109 yards.  Jaelin Carter caught two passes for 67 yards.  LJ Scott returned three kickoffs for 91 yards with a long return of 46 yards.  Ben Bascom led the defense with nine solo and two assisted tackles.  Steven Crowder added seven solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss.  Crowder also intercepted a pass he returned four yards.  L. Humphrey recorded three solo and five assisted tackles.  Gavin Bryant added two solo and six assisted tackles.  Aaron Patrick recorded two solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.

DeSales defense scored two touchdowns and recorded a safety in a 40-14 victory over Fern Creek.  DeSales improves their record to 4-0 and will play Lexington Catholic next week at home.  DeSales recorded 13 first downs and 294 yards of total offense.  The Colts were penalized nine times for 77 yards.  Fern Creek recorded eight first downs and 261 yards of total offense.  The Tigers were penalized 11 times for 81 yards, lost three fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.

Antione Johnson led DeSales ground game with 42 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.  Dar. Hollenkamp carried the ball five times for 34 yards.  James Johnson added 31 yards and a touchdown on six carries.  Aaron Pfaadt completed five of 15 passes for 96 yards and one touchdown.  Savion Stivers caught two passes for 55 yards.  Dar. Hollenkamp added two receptions for 25 yards and a touchdown.  Der. Hollenkamp led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss.  DeJuan Watkins added four solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss and scored a touchdown on a 37 yard fumble recovery.  Dar. Hollenkamp added three solo tackles.  Cameron Perry recorded three solo tackles and recovered a fumble he returned 49 yards.  Amos Griffith also recorded three solo tackles and scored on a 30 yard interception return.  Lance Weiter also recovered a fumble.

Terrance Mitchell led Fern Creek’s ground game with 159 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.  Isaiah Hester completed four of 13 passes for 119 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  William Neal caught three passes for 113 yards and a touchdown.  Terrance Mitchell returned five kickoffs for 63 yards with a long return of 26 yards.  Osman Sall led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles.  Robert Holt and Brandon Green each recorded four solo tackles.

Lexington Christian Academy scored two touchdowns in the final quarter to pull away for a 38-21 victory over Walton-Verona.  Lexington Christian Academy recorded 20 first downs and 442 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were not penalized tonight and lost one fumble.  Walton-Verona recorded five first downs and 184 yards of total offense.  They were penalized three times for 15 yards and lost a fumble.

Thomas White led LCA’s ground game with 71 yards on 22 carries.  Xavier Brown carried the ball six times for 52 yards.  Jayden Barnhardt added 45 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.  Jayden Barnhardt completed 18 of 24 passes for 286 yards and four touchdowns.  DeArious Smith caught 10 passes for 119 yards.  Will Vernon added four receptions for 101 yards and three touchdowns.  Frankie Knight caught a 52 yard touchdown pass.  DeArious Smith returned three punts for 32 yards.  Neal Dickey led the defense with three solo and four assisted tackles.  Kaleb Bolton added two solo and five assisted tackles.  Drew Long recorded one solo and seven assisted tackles.

Covington Catholic rolled up 524 yards of total offense in a 49-14 victory over Beechwood.  Covington Catholic recorded 18 first downs and 524 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized nine times and lost a fumble.  Beechwood recorded 13 first downs and 196 yards of total offense.  They were penalized twice for 20 yards and had two passes intercepted.

C. McGinness led Covington Catholic’s ground attack with 172 yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries.  J. Schuh carried the ball once for 63 yards.  C. Jacob completed 17 of 22 passes for 272 yards and three touchdowns.  M. Mayer caught five passes for 100 yards and a touchdown.  J. Coldiron added five receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown.  C. McGinness added four receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown.  J. Blank returned three punts for 65 yards with a long return of 29 yards.  L. Summe returned three kickoffs for 110 yards with an 85 yard return for a touchdown.  J. Lawrie punted once for 65 yards.  J. Blank led the defense with five solo tackles and intercepted a pass.  M. Mayer added four solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.  A. Shelton recorded four solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  L. Summe also intercepted a pass.

John Odom led Beechwood’s ground game with 22 yards and a touchdown on two carries.  Mitchell Corts carried the ball twice for 15 yards.  Cameron Hergott completed 12 of 25 passes for 135 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  John Odom caught six passes for 95 yards.  Logan Castleman added four receptions for 10 yards.  Hank Birindelli caught two passes for 12 yards and a touchdown.  Logan Castleman punted six times for a 47.2 average with a long punt of 67 yards with two punts inside the 20 yard line.  J. Highlands dominated the second half on their way to a 44-27 victory over Lexington Catholic.  Lexington Catholic led 20-17 at halftime but Highlands made adjustments at halftime and scored the first 28 points after intermission until Lexington Catholic added a final touchdown with 50 seconds remaining in the game.  Highland played an aggressive, physical defense and timed their blitzes perfectly and found the open gaps to pressure Lexington Catholic’s highly ranked QB Beau Allen the entire second half.  Allen put up good statistics but he was harassed all night and his receivers were covered closely and leveled when they caught the ball.  Lexington Catholic held the advantage in first downs and total yardage and actually ran 87 offensive plays compared to 49 for Highlands.  Nick Bowman proved to be a lethal weapon for the Bluebirds as he connected on three field goals and kicked off nine times for an average of 58.8 and six touchbacks.  Hunter Ahlfeld and Nate Roberts also made some key catches for Highlands tonight.

Highlands recorded 16 first downs and 348 yards of total offense.  The Bluebirds were penalized eight times for 67 yards and lost a fumble.  Lexington Catholic recorded 25 first downs and 416 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized 10 times for 63 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Cooper Schwalbach led Highlands  ground game with 47 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries.  Joe Buten carried the ball six times for 18 yards and a touchdown.  Grady Cramer completed 18 of 25 passes for 274 yards and a touchdown.  Hunter Ahlfeld caught five passes for 102 yards.  Nate Roberts added four receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown.  Brycen Huddleston led the defense with 11 solo and two assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards and recovered a fumble he returned 52 yards for a touchdown.  Jacob Brass added seven solo and two assisted tackles.  Tyler Bracken recorded five solo and four assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 14 yards.  Casey Greene recovered a fumble and J. Hagedorn intercepted a pass he returned 22 yards.

Ryan Nichols led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 79 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries.  Beau Allen carried the ball nine times for 24 yards and a touchdown.  Beau Allen completed 29 of 48 passes for 309 yards with one interception.  Nathan Schnurr caught nine passes for 70 yards.  Tommy Knopp added six receptions for 74 yards.  Jackson Corbett recorded four receptions for 55 yards.  Luke Powell caught four passes for 51 yards.  Trenton Neuer returned three kickoffs for 83 yards with a long return of 29 yards.  C. Coulter led the defense with five solo tackles.  Clay Callahan added three solo and three assisted tackles.  Sam Vaughn recorded four solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss.  John Simms recovered a fumble.

Franklin County led 21-14 midway through the third period but Anderson County finished the game on a 28-0 run to earn a 42-21 victory and improve to 5-0.  The Bearcats continue to impress even after losing one of their key players Zach Labhart to a knee injury in the Meade County game.  However Charles Collins who transferred from Montgomery County has continued his string of outstanding performances and Brennan Maxberry is playing his best football to take up the slack.  While you cannot truly replace Zach Labhart his “band of brothers” have stepped up to continue their dream.  Franklin County presented a challenge tonight as they actually held a 30-14 advantage in first downs and enjoyed a 551-489 advantage in total yards.  Franklin County also ran 95 plays on offense compared to 43 for Anderson County. 

Anderson County recorded 14 first downs and 489 yards of total offense.  However they averaged 11.4 yards per play on offense.  The Bearcats were penalized six times for 47 yards and lost a fumble.  Franklin County recorded 30 first downs and 551 yards of total offense.  The Flyers were not penalized tonight, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Charles Collins led Anderson County’s ground game with 207 yards and four touchdowns on 16 carries.  Brennan Maxberry carried the ball 10 times for 108 yards and a touchdown.  Jagger Gillis added 72 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Jagger Gillis completed three of six passes for 63 yards.  Kynan Russell, Wesley Ruehrwein, and Brendan Klink each had one catch for 27, 23, and 13 yards respectively.  Kynan Russell led the defense with 14 solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards.  Colton Cornish added 11 solo and five assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Charles Collins recorded eight solo and two assisted tackles.  Brennan Maxberry chipped in with six solo and one assisted tackles.  Joe Taylor recovered a fumble and Wesley Ruehrwein intercepted a pass he returned 27 yards. 

Nick Broyles led Franklin County’s ground game with 119 yards on 17 carries.  Jesse Thurman carried the ball 13 times for 69 yards and a touchdown.  Nick Broyles completed 28 of 50 passes for 323 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Fred Farrier caught nine passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns.  Cameron Phelps added four receptions for 41 yards.  Dakota Bowen caught three passes for 39 yards.  Fred Farrier returned five kickoffs for 148 yards with a long return of 55 yards.  Fred Farrier led the defense with five solo tackles.  DJ Rucker added two solo and four assisted tackles.  Stephen Parido recorded two solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Andrew Maupin recovered a fumble.

Paul Laurence Dunbar broke their 16 game losing streak and avenged a road loss to McCreary last season by a score of 57-7.  Dunbar recorded 13 first downs and 294 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized seven times for 75 yards and lost a fumble.  McCreary recorded four first downs and 61 yards of total offense.  The Raiders were penalized seven times for 48 yards, lost two fumbles, and had three passes intercepted.

Alex Bard led Dunbar’s ground game with 81 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.  J. Robinson carried the ball once for a 63 yard touchdown run.  Mitchell Joseph added 33 yards and two touchdowns on six carries.  Tanner Cox completed three of three passes for 48 yards and a touchdown.  Jake Smith completed his only pass for 11 yards and a touchdown.  J. Robinson and Howard Jackson each caught one pass each for touchdowns of 34 and 11 yards respectively.  J. Robinson returned a kickoff 87 yards for a touchdown.  Mason Haggard led the defense with five solo tackles.  Isaac Armstrong added three solo and three assisted tackles.  Guettler-James recorded two solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 24 yards.  Landon Jackson scored on an 82 yard fumble recovery and intercepted a pass.  Dre Thurston intercepted a pass he returned 38 yards and Nate Thomas intercepted a pass he returned nine yards.  Frank Ilunga also recovered a fumble.

I. Washington led McCreary’s ground game with 17 yards on four carries.  Chad Nolan completed three of 13 passes for eight yards with three interceptions.  Ben Trammell completed three of five passes for 54 yards and a touchdown.  Andrew Renfro caught a 51 yard touchdown pass.  Caleb Cox returned two kickoffs for 65 yards with a long return of 53 yards.  Kaden Cummins led the defense with three solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss.  Christian Rose added two solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards.  Andrew Renfro recovered a fumble.

Bryan Station led 16-0 after the first quarter but Tates Creek rallied for a 49-38 victory.  The two teams combined for 87 points, 47 first downs, and 1,001 yards of total offense.  Tates Creek recorded 26 first downs and 544 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized 10 times for 72 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Bryan Station recorded 21 first downs and 457 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized seven times for 66 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Marcus Bosley led Tates Creek’s ground game with 119 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries.  Mikaleb Coffey carried the ball six times for 47 yards and a touchdown.  Luke Duby added 46 yards on seven carries.  Luke Duby completed 12 of 21 passes for 300 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions.  Miles Thomas caught four passes for 89 yards and two touchdowns.  Marcus Bosley added two receptions for 72 yards.  Jaheim Mullins caught two passes for 46 yards and a touchdown.  Mikaleb Coffey caught one pass for 50 yards.  JD Hawkins led the defense with eight solo tackles and recovered a fumble he returned 94 yards for a touchdown.  Elliot Bryant added five solo tackles and intercepted two passes.  Marcus Bosley also recorded five solo tackles.  Jaheim Mullins recorded four solo and one assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 17 yards.

Jalen Burbage led Bryan Station’s ground game with 108 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries.  Antoine Smith carried the ball nine times for 82 yards and a touchdown.  Jalen Burbage completed 20 of 32 passes for 275 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions.  Kendrick Curry caught 10 passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns.  Amodeus Taylor added four receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown.  Bryson Fields led the defense with 12 solo and five assisted tackles.  C. McKinley added five solo and five assisted tackles.  Jalen Burbage recorded six solo tackles.  Deshawn Starks and Dennis Abw each intercepted a pass.

Frederick Douglass continues their early season domination with a 42-7 victory over Madison Central.  The Broncos dialed long distance today with four of their touchdowns being 25 yards or longer.  Frederick Douglass recorded 20 first downs and 582 yards of total offense.  The Broncos were penalized eight times for 55 yards and lost a fumble.  Madison Central recorded nine first downs and 164 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized three times for 23 yards and lost a fumble.

Damarco Fishback led Frederick Douglass’ ground game with 94 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries.  Darius Neal added 59 yards and a touchdown on four carries.  Cameron Jones completed 21 of 27 passes for 421 yards and three touchdowns.  Haiden Hunt caught six passes for 82 yards.  Micah Lowe added six receptions for 73 yards.  Dekel Crowdus recorded four receptions for 103 yards and one touchdown.  Montaveon Bean caught three passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns.  RaMarcus Thompson led the defense with four solo and five assisted tackles.  Jayshaun Coffman added four solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Devin Neal recovered a fumble.

Ethan Hahn led Madison Central’s ground attack with 43 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.  Freddie Chenault carried the ball 11 times for 35 yards.  Derrick Miller completed seven of 15 passes for 30 yards.  Ethan Hahn caught three passes for 11 yards.  Jarrett Mullins caught one pass for 14 yards.  Blake Muntz punted five times for a 46.8 average with a long kick of 59 yards.  Ethan Hahn returned five kickoffs for 84 yards with a long return of 26 yards.  Jackson Juett led the defense with four solo and five assisted tackles.  Sawyer Cruse added four solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss.  Bennie Hurt recovered a fumble.
