Covington Catholic rolled up 570 yards of total offense and the defense forced four turnovers tonight as the Colonels rolled over Highlands by a score of 52-0.  Covington Catholic recorded 24 first downs and 570 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized six times for 104 yards.  Highland recorded 11 first downs and 128 yards of total offense.  The Bluebirds were penalized once for 10 yards, lost a fumble, and had three passes intercepted.

C. McGinness led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 108 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries.  M. Boydston carried the ball four times for 57 yards.  AJ Mayer added 47 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  AJ Mayer completed 15 of 17 passes for 291 yards and a touchdown.  M. Pike caught four passes for 60 yards.  L. Lenihan added three receptions for 56 yards.  M. Mayer caught two passes for 47 yards.  J. Coldiron caught a 54 yard touchdown reception.  C. McGinness returned one kickoff for 38 yards.  J. Shriver led the defense with three solo and two assisted tackles.  J. Coldiron and G. Dyer each recorded two solo and two assisted tackles.

L. Wilson led Highlands ground game with 77 yards on four carries.  C. Schoelman carried the ball three times for 47 yards.  C. Jacksonville State took advantage of four Eastern Kentucky turnovers on their way to a 41-25 victory.  Jacksonville State raced out to a 31-3 halftime lead and was never seriously threatened in this game as they improved to 5-1 and 3-0 in the OVC.  Jacksonville State recorded 19 first downs and 346 yards of total offense.  The Gamecocks were penalized nine times for 72 yards.  Eastern Kentucky recorded 16 first downs and 252 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized seven times for 70 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Bryant Horn led Jacksonville State’s ground game with 73 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.  Tramel Terry carried the ball six times for 49 yards.  Roc Thomas added 21 yards and a touchdown on four carries.  Bryant Horn completed 10 of 17 passes for 158 yards and a touchdown.  Roc Thomas caught three passes for 36 yards.  Shaq Davidson added three receptions for 31 yards.  Krenwic Sanders recorded two receptions for 46 yards.  Jamari Hester caught one pass for 31 yards and a touchdown.  De’Marc Flowers returned two kickoffs for 80 yards with a long return of 66 yards.  Krenwic Sanders returned one kickoff for 33 yards.  Marion Bridges led the defense with three solo and six assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss and intercepted a pass he returned 73 yards for a touchdown.  Darius Jackson added three solo and four assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 19 yards, forced two fumbles, and recovered one fumble.  Traco Williams recorded one solo and six assisted tackles.  Siran Neal intercepted a pass and Gerald Sterling recovered a fumble.

Jason Lewis led Eastern Kentucky’s ground game with 50 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.  Tim Boyle completed 16 of 26 passes for 186 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions.  Ryan Markush caught four passes for 60 yards.  Daryl McCleskey added four receptions for 59 yards and a touchdown.  Neiko Creamer caught four passes for 43 yards.  Keith Wrzuszczak punted three times for a 43.7 average with a long punt of 48 yards with one punt inside the 20 yard line.  Daryl McCleskey returned three kickoffs for 102 yards with a long return of 55 yards.  LJ Scott returned four kickoffs for 150 yards with a long return of 57 yards.  Kobie Grace led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles with one tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Jeffrey Canady added four solo and one assisted tackles.

DeSales’ defense held Washington County to three first downs, 54 yards of total offense, and forced three fumbles in a 42-0 victory.  DeSales recorded 19 first downs and 328 yard of total offense.  The Colts were penalized twice for 16 yards and lost a fumble.  Washington County recorded three first downs and 54 yards of total offense.  The Commanders were penalized three times for 12 yards and had three passes intercepted.

Saivon Stivers led DeSale’s ground game with 88 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.  Chase Pfaadt carried the ball 10 times for 71 yards and a touchdown.  Jordan Watkins added 59 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Dar Hollenkamp recorded 20 yards and a touchdown on three carries.  Antion Johnson completed three of five passes for 17 yards.  Aaron Pfaadt completed one of two passes for 10 yards and a touchdown.  Ronni Standard caught one pass for 14 yards.  Mekhi Lewis added one reception for 10 yards and a touchdown.  Ronni Standard returned two punts for 52 yards with a long return of 27 yards.  Saivon Stivers returned two punts for 30 yards with a long return of 17 yards.  Santon Hickman led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Omari Milligan added three solo and one assisted tackles.  Ronni Standard intercepted one pass and returned it 26 yards for a touchdown.  Ryan O’Shea and Kenny Triplett each intercepted a pass.

Mike Ellery led the Washington County ground game with 27 yards on seven carries.  Jbias Dawson added 15 yards on 15 carries.  Jacob Yates completed two of six passes for 12 yards with three interceptions.  Jack Wheatley caught two passes for 12 yards.  Jack Wheatley and Miguel Alacanta led the defense with six solo tackles each.  Dallas Clark recorded three solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.

Lexington Christian Academy defeated Somerset by a score of 39-12.  Lexington Christian Academy recorded 23 first downs and 454 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized seven times for 75 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Somerset recorded 15 first downs and 185 yards of total offense.  The Briar Jumpers were penalized four times for 30 yards and lost three fumbles.

Dillon Wheatley led LCA’s ground game with 118 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries.  Logan Nieves carried the ball 17 times for 84 yards and two touchdowns.  Logan Nieves completed 13 of 20 passes for 252 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions.  Drayden Burton caught four passes for 126 yards.  Caelen Lebryk added five receptions for 112 yards and a touchdown.  Drayden Burton led the defense with four solo and one assisted tackles.  Blane Hardin added three solo and three assisted tackles.

Scott County QB Josh Davis threw three touchdown passes in the first quarter to lead Scott County to a 28-0 first quarter lead on their way to a 42-8 victory over Paul Laurence Dunbar tonight.  Scott County recorded 19 first downs and 370 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized twice for 20 yards and lost a fumble.  Dunbar recorded seven first downs and 148 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized three times for 25 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Bryson Gibson led Scott County’s ground game with 62 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.  Austin Barnett carried the ball five times for 61 yards and a touchdown.  Phillip Garner added 51 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Brice Fryman carried the ball four times for 34 yards.  Josh Davis completed four of four passes for 127 yards and three touchdowns.  Glenn Covington caught two passes for 69 yards and two touchdowns.  Landon Easley caught one pass for 41 yards.  Payton Brown added a 17 yard touchdown reception.  Bronson Brown returned two kickoffs for 50 yards with a long return of 34 yards.  Berk Watts led the defense with five solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss.  Sam Daniel intercepted a pass he returned 17 yards.  Colton Combs and Zane Wilson each recovered a fumble.

Dre Thurston led Dunbar’s ground game with 40 yards on eight carries.  Alex Bard carried the ball 12 times for 21 yards.  Tanner Cox completed two of seven passes for 17 yards.  Tyre Garrard completed his only pass for 28 yards and a touchdown.  Darren Edmond caught two passes for 28 yards and a touchdown.  Walker Mack caught one pass for 17 yards.  Darren Edmond returned five kickoffs for 81 yards.  Chiani Russell returned one kickoff for 29 yards.  Rara Bybee led the defense with five solo and one assisted tackles.  Chiani Russell added five solo tackles.  Mason Haggard recorded three solo and one assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.

Frederick Douglass defeated Hancock County by a score of 48-0.  Frederick Douglass recorded 16 first downs and 346 yards of total offense.  The Broncos were penalized six times for 55 yards and lost a fumble.  Hancock County recorded seven first downs and 103 yards of total offense.  The Hornets were penalized twice for 25 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Jefferson Harkless led Douglass’ ground game with 65 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries.  Montaveon Bean carried the ball five times for 61 yards and a touchdown.  Jesse Robinson added 47 yards on four carries.  Montaveon Bean completed seven of eight passes for 88 yards.  Dekel Crowdus completed one of two passes for 30 yards and a touchdown.  Brion Thomas caught three passes for 73 yards.  Haiden Hunt added two receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown.  Jalin Bybee returned a punt 67 yards for a touchdown.  Obi Taylor led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  Dalyn Wilson added three solo and one assisted tackles.  Key Strozier intercepted a pass

Anderson County was never completely able to overcome a 20-3 halftime deficit and seven turnovers in a 39-23 loss to Montgomery County.  Anderson County pulled within four; 20-16 with 8:30 remaining in the game but Montgomery County scored 19 points over the last 2:33 of the game to ensure the victory.  Montgomery County recorded 18 first downs and 305 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized seven times for 78 yards.  Anderson County recorded 10 first downs and 273 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized six times for 45 yards, lost five fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Justin Korossy led Montgomery County’s ground game with 83 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.  Gage Jones carried the ball 16 times for 69 yards and a touchdown.  Josh Wheaton carried the ball 14 times for 62 yards and two touchdowns.  Charles Collins added 35 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.  Trey Ishmael completed two of nine passes for 78 yards.  Pharoah Davis caught two passes for 78 yards.  Jay Eads led the defense with four solo tackles and a fumble recovery.  Tyler Hamm added four solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss.  Charles Collins recorded four solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 16 yards and one recovered fumble.  Ty Eads added four solo tackles with two interceptions for 39 yards return yardage and a touchdown.  Justin Korossy, Tyler Jacobs, and Andrew Rutledge also recovered one fumble each.

Zach Labhart led Anderson County’s ground game with 137 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries.  Blake Franklin carried the ball seven times for 51 yards.   Jagger Gillis added 38 yards on nine carries.  Jagger Gillis completed three of seven passes for 40 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions.  Blake Franklin caught two passes for 32 yards and a touchdown.  Colton Cornish continues to impress as he recorded 11 solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  D. Dearinger added nine solo tackles.  Andrew Lykins recorded four solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.  B. Maxberry chipped in with two solo tackles with his tackles resulting in losses totaling 20 yards.

Tates Creek defeated George Rogers Clark by a score of 31-7 to improve to 6-2 for the season.  Tates Creek recorded 17 first downs and 302 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized 13 times for 138 yards and lost a fumble.  George Rogers Clark recorded 15 first downs and 214 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized nine times for 72 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Laron Warner led Tates Creek’s ground game with 82 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.  Teonte White carried the ball 11 times for 60 yards.  Cameron Workman completed 11 of 27 passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns.  Teonte White caught three passes for 36 yards and a touchdown.  Devonta Clay added two receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown.  Dozier Combs punted five times for a 40.6 average with a long punt of 46 yards with four punts inside the 20 yard line.  Laron Warner returned three punts for 27 yards with a long return of 28 yards.  Teonte White led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles.  Marcus Bosley added four solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards.  Cam Stewart recorded three solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 14 yards.  Laron Warner and Ge’Deon Garner each intercepted a pass with return yards of 20 and 18 yards respectively.

N. Thomas led GRC’s ground game with 88 yards on 29 carries.  Pierce Nesbitt completed 10 of 39 passes for 112 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions.  Jaden Farris caught five passes for 62 yards.  Nick Willoughby caught a five yard touchdown pass.  N. Tyree Clarke led Henry Clay’s ground game with 104 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.  Darrin Van Horn completed five of 11 passes for 60 yards and two touchdowns.  Tyree Clarke caught two passes for 35 yards and a touchdown.  Isaiah Adkins caught a 13 yard touchdown pass.  Graham Wald punted twice for a 46.5 average with a long punt of 57 yards with one kick inside the 20 yard line.  Ramond Jackson led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 16 yards and intercepted a pass he returned 25 yards for a touchdown.  Dakota Kimes and Chris Dabney each recovered a fumble and Langston Jackson intercepted a pass.
