I have had some inquiries about whether girls in the state of Kentucky can attend fall events the weekend of September 25-27. After talking with Julian Tackett, the commissioner of the KHSAA, he has assured me that girls can attend any fall event that particular weekend in September without jeopardizing their eligibility. The KHSAA did change their boys bylaw for the fall but left intact the girls' fall bylaw which has been in place for several years. Hope that clears up any confusion should one be considering our Louisville Girls Fall Showcase at Bullitt Central High School in Shepherdsville, KY, on September 26th.

Sincerely,

Rick Bolus

Camp Director and Scout since 1973

Member of the Selection Committee for the Naismith Awards

P.S. Our preseason fall positioner regardless of class will be published around the first of September so stayed tuned.

I have received several emails and phone calls concerning girls in the state of Kentucky attending fall events the weekend of September 25-27. I personally talked with Julian Tackett, the commissioner of the KHSAA, and he assured me that girls in the state of Kentucky can attend any event that particular weekend of Sepetmber 25-27. The KHSAA made some changes in their bylaws about boys attending fall events but the girls' bylaws remain the same as in past years. Hope that clears up the issue.

"BOYS AND GIRLS FALL SHOWCASES"

High Potential/Blue-Chip Exposure Camps are pleased to announce two fall showcases in September, one for boys in Chicago (IL) and one for girls in Louisville (KY). Below is information on each showcase.

CHICAGO BOYS FALL SHOWCASE

This showcase will take place on September 20th (Sunday) at Lincoln-Way North High School in Frankfort (IL), a suburb of Chicago, between the hours of 9 AM and 6 PM (CDT). There will only be a high school division but skilled junior high school players are also eligible to attend. Most state high school athletic associations allow their student/athletes to participate in fall showcases. Cost is only $99.00.

LOUISVILLE GIRLS FALL SHOWCASE

This showcase will take place on September 26 (Saturday) at Bullitt Central High School in Shepherdsville (KY), minutes from Louisville, between the hours of  9 AM and 6 PM (EDT). There will only be a high school division but skilled junior high school players are also eligible to attend. Most state high school athletic associations allow their student/athletes to participate in fall showcases. Cost is only $95.00.

One can acquire more information for either showcase by going to www.basketball-camp.net and clicking on either the Chicago Boys Fall Showcase or the Louisville Girls Fall Showcase found on the home page found underneath the flashing blue billboard.

This is a great opportunity and last chance for players to be seen by scout Rick Bolus, internet services and college coaches before the 2015-16 season gets underway, especially if one is flying under the radar screens of college recruiters.
