Eastern Kentucky trailed 21-17 at halftime but pulled away in the second half to defeat Tennessee State 56-42 to improve their record to 8-1 for the season.  Tennessee State falls to 4-6 for the season.  Eastern Kentucky recorded 23 first downs and 366 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized nine times for 65 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Tennessee State recorded 22 first downs and 431 yards of total offense.  The Tigers were penalized 14 times for 123 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Dy’Shawn Mobley led Eastern Kentucky’s ground game with 139 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries.  Jared McClain carried the ball 23 times for 139 yards and two touchdowns.  Jared McClain completed 10 of 18 passes for 70 yards and one touchdown with one interception.  Dy’Shawn Mobley caught three passes for 28 yards.  Ben Madon added three receptions for 20 yards.  Jeff Glover caught an eight yard touchdown pass.  Brandon Stanley led the defense with 11 solo and two assisted tackles.  Chris Kelly added five solo and two assisted tackles.  Kiante Northington recorded five solo tackles and intercepted a pass.  Devin Borders scored on a 33 yard fumble recovery return.

Darion Hall led Tennessee State’s ground attack with 81 yards on 17 carries.  Michael German completed 22 of 43 passes for 326 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions.  Isaiah Freeman caught seven passes for 98 yards and three touchdowns.  Ryan Mitchell added four receptions for 119 yards.  Je-Marc Sears added three receptions for 46 yards.  Wel Garlington caught three passes for 38 yards.  Darion Hall returned five kickoffs for 174 yards including a 100 yard return for a touchdown.  Nick Thrasher led the defense with seven solo and 10 assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Da. Fitzpatrick added three solo and five assisted tackles.  Detorr. Shipley recorded five solo and two assisted tackles.  Mike West added four solo and here assisted tackles and recovered a fumble he returned for 12 yards.

Lexington Catholic defeated Boone County by a score of 36-14.  Lexington Catholic recorded 22 first downs and 405 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized five times for 49 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Boone County recorded 14 first downs and 250 yards of total offense.  The Rebels were penalized eight times for 57 yards, lost three fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Jaylen Jones led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 84 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries.  Brett Balcirak carried the ball five times for 39 yards.  Reese Ryan completed 23 of 34 passes for 237 yards and four touchdowns with one interception.  Donovan Morris caught six passes for 75 yards and a touchdown.  JJ Ogbogu added five receptions for 29 yards and a touchdown.  Andy Thompson caught four passes for 44 yards.  Jordan Hatton added three receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown.  Jaylen Jones caught three passes for 22 yards.  Chris Thompson recorded two catches for 36 yards and a touchdown.  Cody Mitchell led the defense with nine solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards and recovered a fumble.  Chase Boling added seven solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Andy Hickey recorded six solo tackles and Braxton Couch chipped in with five solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards and intercepted a pass.

Jerry Marshall led Boone County’s ground game with 81 yards on 13 carries.  Rondell Douglas carried the ball 18 times for 69 yards.  Jamar Lamb recorded 44 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.  Corstin Cahill carried the ball five times for 33 yards and a touchdown.  Jamar Lamb completed four of nine passes for 22 yards with one interception.  Jerry Marshall caught one pass for 14 yards.  Jacob Schlarman led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles.  Dylan Kramer and Amadou Diaw each recorded five solo tackles and Diaw intercepted a pass that he returned 29 yards.

Lexington Christian Academy took a 14-0 lead after the first quarter but Walton-Verona rallied for a 24-14 victory.  Walton-Verona recorded 14 first downs and 394 yards of total offense.  They were penalized five times for 45 yards.  Lexington Christian Academy recorded 11 first downs and 311 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized six times for 40 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Mason Compton led Walton-Verona’s ground game with 178 yards and a touchdown on 30 carries.  Will Latimore carried the ball 11 times for 129 yards and one touchdown.  Justin Kline completed four of seven passes for 61 yards and two touchdowns.  Page Halsey caught two passes for 36 yards and a touchdown.  Will Latimore added two receptions for 25 yards and a touchdown.  Hunter Ruber led the defense with five solo and six assisted tackles.  Cody Catlett added four solo and six assisted tackles.  David Carr recorded three solo and four assisted tackles.  Ryan Martin and Will Latimore each intercepted a pass.

Dima Ballard led Lexington Christian Academy’s ground game with 103 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.  Nick Whitman carried the ball 19 times for 98 yards and a touchdown.  Dima Ballard completed 10 of 16 passes for 1-7 yards with one interception.  Logan Potter caught one pass for 48 yards.  Sam Arnold added three receptions for 24 yards.  Daniel White added three receptions for 17 yards.  Kyle Paske led the defense with six solo and three assisted tackles.  Nick Whitman added five solo and three assisted tackles.  Daniel White recorded four solo and four assisted tackles.

Scott County improved their record to 9-1 with a 47-0 victory over Seneca.  Scott County recorded 21 first downs and 380 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized four times for 39 yards.  Seneca recorded 11 first downs and 133 yards of total offense.  They were penalized three times for 25 yards and lost two fumbles.

Theo Price led Scott County’s ground attack with three touchdowns on seven carries.  Keith Guy carried the ball six times for 93 yards.  Jermaine Barber added 44 yards on six carries.  Clay McKee completed six of 10 passes for 78 yards and two touchdowns.  Keith Guy caught two passes for 23 yards and a touchdown.  Theo Price added two receptions for 23 yards and a touchdown.  Theo Price returned a punt 54 yards for a touchdown.  Jameer Womack led the defense with three solo and two assisted tackles.  Tyler Braxton added two solo and four assisted tackles.  Tyler Carpenter scored on a fumble recovery return.

Travon Harris led Seneca’s ground game with 71 yards on 17 carries.  Kyron Anderson carried the ball six times for 40 yards.  Tylan Harbin completed one of nine passes for -4 yards.  Mark White caught one pass for -4 yards.  Cu. Dickerson led the defense with five solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Eric Tillman and Mikal Ballard added five and four solo tackles respectively.

Ballard defeated Bryan Station by a score of 35-25 to improve their record to 7-3.  Bryan Station was without star QB Andre Davis due to an injury and fell to 6-4 for the season.  Ballard recorded 26 first downs and 359 yards of total offense.  The Bruins were penalized seven times for 66 yards and lost two fumbles.  Bryan Station recorded 17 first downs and 256 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized 11 times for 129 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

David Daniels led Ballard’s ground game with 149 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries.  Brandon Ntui carried the ball 19 times for 85 yards.  Kenshawn Washington added 63 yards on 13 carries.  Kenshawn Washington completed five of seven passes for 43 yards and a touchdown.  Antione Masden caught two passes for 25 yards and a touchdown.  Matt Gumble added two receptions for 23 yards.  Ballard did not attempt a punt in this game.  Hayden Smith led the defense with five solo and five assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.  Jalil Brown added three solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Omardrick Douglas recorded two solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards and recovered a fumble for a touchdown.  Tavon Robertson also recorded two solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 38 yards.

D’Andre Mack led Bryan Station’s ground game with 52 yards on nine carries.  Dallas Bruton completed 16 of 23 passes for 188 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Quinten Floyd completed two of six passes for 31 yards and a touchdown.  Tequan Claitt caught seven passes for 96 yards and two touchdowns.  Rafael Few added four receptions for 36 yards.  D’Andre Mack caught three passes for 52 yards and a touchdown.  Shane Preston led the defense with 11 solo and 12 assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  Mikel Horton added seven solo and five assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards and recovered a fumble.  James Bryant recorded four solo and eight assisted tackles.

Anderson County defeated Collins by a score of 40-12.  Anderson County recorded 20 first downs and 382 yards of total offense.  They were penalized 10 times for 83 yards.  Collins recorded nine first downs and 206 yards of total offense.  They were penalized five times for 47 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Bryndon Labhart led Anderson County’s ground game with 97 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries.  Brayden Russell carried the ball nine times for 81 yards and a touchdown.  Chris Toomey added 67 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries.  Zach Carmichael carried the ball 13 times for 64 yards and a touchdown.  Zach Carmichael completed six of 13 passes for 70 yards.  Brayden Russell caught three passes for 24 yards.  Chris Toomey added two receptions for 35 yards.  Bryndon Labhart led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles and a recovered fumble he returned for 34 yards.  Cade Cotton added four solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards and intercepted one pass.  Ian Chilton recorded three solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a nine yard loss and recovered a fumble.  Conner Stockton added three solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 21 yards.

Nasean Roseberry led Collins ground game with 86 yards on 11 carries.  JR Lucas completed nine of 19 passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions.  Leland Cardwell caught five passes for 79 yards and a touchdown.  Gabe Nash added two receptions for 37 yards.  Sam Harrod led the defense with seven solo and four assisted tackles.  Jacob Dale added five solo and five assisted tackles.  Antuan Wells recorded three solo and seven assisted tackles.

Paul Laurence Dunbar defeated Mercer County by a score of 34-28.  Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 19 first downs and 349 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized five times for 31 yards and lost a fumble.  Mercer County recorded 14 first downs and 336 yards of total offense.  The Titans were penalized five times for 25 yards and lost a fumble.

Maurice Carter led Dunbar’s ground game with 113 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.  Trey Penney carried the ball 10 times for 56 yards.  LaDarius Morton added 39 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries.  Jay Coleman added 34 yards on eight carries.  Nate Gay carried the ball eight times for 29 yards and a touchdown.  Trey Penney completed three of five passes for 59 yards and a touchdown.  Maurice Carter , Dontell Brown, and Nate Gay each caught one pass for 24, 18, and 17 yards respectively with Gay’s reception resulting in a touchdown.  Braxton Edge led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles.  LaDarius Morton added three solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Carter Hayslett recorded two solo and four assisted tackles.

Donald D. Smith led Mercer County’s ground game with 128 yards and two touchdowns on five carries.  Drew Davis completed 11 of 31 passes for 130 yards.  Treyv. Faulkner completed his only pass for a 17 yard touchdown.  Layne Peavler caught eight passes for 88 yards and a touchdown.  Dustin Baker added two receptions for 44 yards.  Joey DeGiovanni led the defense with four solo and nine assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.  Braxton Bradshaw added three solo and seven assisted tackles.  Grant Willmott recorded three solo and six assisted tackles.

Eastern Kentucky University improved to 7-1 with a 33-21 victory over Southeast Missouri to drop the Redhawks to 4-5 for the season.  The Colonels affected a bend-but-don’t-break defense as SEMO held a 25-23 advantage in first downs and a 484-364 total offense yards in the game.  EKU got a big boost from the special teams as Jeff Glover blocked a punt and returned it 22 yards for a touchdown to give the Colonels a 7-0 lead.  Eastern Kentucky also got a big defensive play from Kiante Northington in the third quarter.  SEMO trailed 20-14 but was facing a third-and-three from the Eastern Kentucky nine yard line and Northington ended the drive with an interception in the end zone on a tipped pass.  SEMO recorded 25 first downs and 484 yards of total offense.  The Redhawks were penalized six times for 55 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Eastern Kentucky recorded 23 first downs and 364 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized once for five yards and had one pass intercepted.

Dy’Shawn Mobley led Eastern Kentucky’s ground attack with 111 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries.  Jared McClain completed 15 of 18 passes for 203 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Devin Borders caught four passes for 106 yards and a touchdown.  Dy’Shawn Mobley added four receptions for 16 yards.  Jeff Glover recorded three receptions for 33 yards.  Kiante Northington led the defense with eight solo and nine assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Brandon Stanley added five solo, seven assisted tackles, and intercepted a pass.  Trey Thomas recorded two solo and six assisted tackles and Tyrelle Johnson chipped in with five solo and one assisted tackles.

Kyle Snyder led Southeast Missouri’s ground attack with 116 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries.  DeMichael Jackson carried the ball 22 times for 99 yards.  Kyle Snyder completed 23 of 34 passes for 245 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions.  Peter Lloyd caught nine passes for 104 yards.  Adrian Davis added five receptions for 50 yards.  Spencer Davis caught two passes for 42 yards.  Ron Coleman caught two passes for 17 yards including a three yard touchdown reception.  Terrance Hill led the defense with four solo and eight assisted tackles.  Hunter Bledsoe added three solo and eight assisted tackles.  Eriq Moore recorded five solo and two assisted tackles.

1233 yards of total offense and 19 touchdowns later Henry Clay eked out a 70-63 victory over Bryan Station.  Bryan Station led 42-28 at halftime led by Andre Davis’ six touchdown passes.  However Davis went to the sidelines with an injury with 1:56 in the third quarter and Bryan Station clinging to a 49-42 lead.  Henry Clay’s running backs Joquise Buford and Austin Bledsoe led by excellent offensive line blocking kept pounding the Bryan Station defense and finally scored the winning touchdown on a Buford 25 yard run with 44 seconds left on the clock.  However Bryan Station was not finished as Dallas Bruton connected on a 20 yard touchdown pass to Marcus Floyd and a conversion kick with 16 seconds remaining on the clock.  The Defenders trailed 70-63.  Bryan Station recovered the onside kick but was not able to notch the tying touchdown.

Henry Clay recorded 29 first downs and 654 yards of total offense.  Henry Clay carried the ball 64 times for 559 yards (8.7 avg.) and nine touchdowns.  The Blue Devils had 71 offensive plays, and were penalized nine times for 87 yards.  Bryan Station recorded 32 first downs and 579 yards of total offense.  The Defenders had 83 offensive plays, were penalized eight times for 92 yards, and had one pass intercepted.

Joquise Buford led Henry Clay’s ground attack with 334 yards and eight touchdowns on 37 carries.  Austin Bledsoe carried the ball 19 times for 175 yards and a touchdown.  CJ Tackett completed five of seven passes for 95 yards and a touchdown.  Colby Barnes caught two passes for 61 yards and a touchdown.  Davonte Robinson led Henry Clay’s defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Clark Dupree added five solo tackles.  Dennis Newby also recorded five solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Elijah Barnett added four solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 18 yards.  Jack Jackson also recorded a big interception late in the game.

D’Andre Mack led Bryan Station’s ground game with 53 yards on 12 carries.  Andre Davis completed 28 of 40 passes for 369 yards and seven touchdowns.  Dallas Bruton completed eight of 16 passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  CJ Walker caught 11 passes for 146 yards and a touchdown.  Marcus Floyd added nine receptions for 99 yards and four touchdowns.  Rafael Few caught six passes for 98 yards and two touchdowns.  Tequan Claitt caught five passes for 89 yards and a touchdown and D’Andre Mack added four receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown.  Mikel Horton led the defense with eight solo and one assisted tackles.  Chris Jackson added six solo and three assisted tackles.  Devon Key and Mahari Sturgis recorded seven and six solo tackles respectively.
