Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III started the following lineup: 6-4 Sr. Lance Blakley, 6-1 So. Dontavion “Lucky” Jackson, 6-9 Sr. Jackson Davis, 5-11 Sr. Dequise Robinson, and 5-11 So. Harrison Lane.  Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-6 Jr. Tanner Johnson, 6-3 Jr. Reese Ryan, 6-7 Sr. Robert Dence, 5-10 Jr. Michael Talbott, and 6-2 Jr. Jarod Griffin.

Lexington Catholic captured the championship with a 59-54 victory over Lafayette.  Lexington Catholic led 36-20 at halftime but Lafayette rallied to take a 52-50 lead with three minutes left in the game.  However, Lexington Catholic fueled by two key steals and six points down the stretch by Jarod Griffin earned the victory.  Lexington Catholic shot 44.9% from the field including one of eight from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 19 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 36.4% from the field including three of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on 11 of 14 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored six points off 14 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Tanner Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 13 points and seven rebounds.  Robert Dence added 13 points and six rebounds.  Jarod Griffin chipped in with 11 points including seven of seven free throws and four steals.  Michael Talbott scored 10 points.  Reese Ryan recorded four points, nine rebounds, six assists, two blocked shots and two steals.

Jackson Davis led Lafayette with 18 points and 17 rebounds.  Lance Blakley added 11 points and five rebounds.  Dontavion “Lucky” Jackson chipped in with 10 points.

Scott County defeated Bryan Station by a score of 73-62.  Scott County shot 55.6% from the field including six of 12 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 17 of 23 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 15 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 40% from the field including seven of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Defenders connected on 11 of 14 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 19 Scott County turnovers.

Trent Gilbert led Scott County with 26 points including two three point baskets and 12 of 14 free throws and added five assists.  Teddy Ware added 19 points including three three point baskets.  Raekwon Long recorded 11 points and 16 rebounds.

6-1 Sr. Daquice Allen led Bryan Station with 13 points including three three point baskets.  Marcellous Washington also scored 13 points.  Quan Claitt added 12 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists.

Savannah Gregory, 6-1 Jr. Holly Robinson, 5-7 So. Jordan Brooks, and 5-7 Sr. Katie Young.

Allen County-Scottsville raced out to a 15-2 lead and held on to defeat Simon Kenton by a score of 57-51.  The score was tied three times and there were eight lead changes in the game.  Allen County-Scottsville held a decisive 21-6 advantage in free throw points.  Simon Kenton lost two starters via the foul route as both Rachel Cox and Sarah Tomlin both fouled out with less than 20 minutes logged in the game.  Allen County-Scottsville shot 41% from the field including four of nine from the three point line.  They connected on 21 of 30 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 11 Simon Kenton turnovers.  Simon Kenton shot 33.3% from the field including five of 15 from beyond the arc.  They connected on six of 10 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored four points off 11 Allen County-Scottsville turnovers.

Morgan Rich led Allen County-Scottsville with 19 points including three three point baskets, 10 rebounds, four assists, and four blocked shots.  Savannah Gregory added 18 points including 10 of 10 free throws.  Holly Robinson recorded nine points and six rebounds.

Abby Owings led Simon Kenton with 15 points including three three point baskets.  Christina Cook added 10 points.  Rachel Cox pulled down eight rebounds.  5-2 Sr. MacKenzie Hestor chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets and five rebounds.

Lincoln County claimed the championship with an exciting 86-81 double overtime victory over Mercer County.  Lincoln County had the proverbial “nine lives” tonight as they had to rally twice late to capture the victory.  Lincoln County trailed 64-61 in regulation but Spencer Sims nailed a long three pointer to tie the score at the buzzer and force overtime.  Lincoln County trailed 69-64 in the first overtime but battled back to tie the game on two free throws by Spencer Sims to tie the game at 74-74 and force a second overtime.  Lincoln County finally took control in the second overtime to earn the victory.  Free throw shooting was the key tonight as Lincoln County was 11 of 14 in the overtime periods.

5-8 Sr. Spencer Sims led Lincoln County with 23 points including 12 of 12 free throws and 12 rebounds.  5-9 Jr. Tiandra Hocker added 17 points.  5-4 So. Cristin Hall and 5-2 Jr. Kelsi Honaker also reached double figures with 15 and 13 points respectively.

5-7 Fr. Lyric Houston led Mercer County with 20 points.5-5 Jr. Heidi Huffman and 5-5 So. Madaline Bartley added 12 points each.  5-8 Sr. Raegan Freeman and 5-7 8th grader Faith Lake chipped in with 11 and 10 points respectively.

Ballard took the King of the Bluegrass championship with a 65-54 victory over Trinity.  Trinity led 33-28 at halftime but Ballard rallied to lead 49-47 at the end of three quarters and outscored Trinity 16-7 in the final quarter.  The score was tied four times and there were seven lead changes.  Ballard shot 47.7% from the field including eight of 21 from the three point line.  The Bruins connected on 15 of 21 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 11 Trinity turnovers.  Trinity shot 42.9% from the field including six of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Shamrocks connected on six of 13 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 11 Ballard turnovers.

Quentin Snider led Ballard with 23 points including five three point baskets.  Kelan Martin added 18 points, nine rebounds, and four assists.  Malik Dow chipped in with eight points and five rebounds.  6-3 Jr. Raeshawn Robinson recorded seven points and seven rebounds.

Michael Stafford led Trinity with 15 points.  Craig Owens added 13 points and eight rebounds.  Trey Ivory chipped in with 10 points.  Raymond Spalding recorded six points and seven rebounds.

Lexington Catholic held a 20-10 advantage in second effort points in a 65-46 victory over Cardinal Gibbons.  Lexington Catholic shot 44.4% from the field including seven of 18 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on 18 of 26 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored seven points off nine Cardinal Gibbons turnovers.  Cardinal Gibbons shot 28.4% from the field including five of 24 from beyond the arc.  The Chiefs connected on three of four free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 19 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Alexus Mayes led NCC with 21 points including nine of 11 free throws and 12 rebounds.  Nikki Kiernan added 12 points, 13 rebounds, three blocked shots, and three steals.  Ansley Davenport chipped in with nine points.

Anderson County led 38-34 after three quarters but Elizabethtown outscored Anderson County 17-4 in the final quarter to earn a 51-42 victory and the championship. Elizabethtown held a 34-14 advantage in the paint to overcome a 27-9 disadvantage in three point points.  There were 12 lead changes and three ties in this game.  Elizabethtown shot 44.7% from the field including three of nine from the three point line.  The Lady Bearcats connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored six points off nine Anderson County turnovers.  Anderson County shot 31.4% from the field including nine of 27 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Panthers connected on one of two free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 11 Elizabethtown turnovers.
