Friday August 24th

 

Highlands 60  Scott County 37 – Highlands had three backs rush over 100 yards tonight.  Zach Harris carried the ball 18 times for 122 yards and three touchdowns, Donovan McCoy 10 carries for 104 yards and two touchdowns, and Jaylen Hayes added 113 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries.

DeSales 63  Elizabethtown 14 – Dylan Byrd carried the ball 10 times for 130 yards, ran for two touchdowns, caught a 35 yard TD pass, and scored on a kickoff return.

Male 14  Butler 8 – Tyler Erny scored on a one yard run on fourth-and-goal with 1:46 left in the game to give Male the victory.

Jeffersonville 28  Bullitt East 27 – Richard Deloney carried the ball 15 times for 112 yards and two touchdowns including the winning touchdown on a 19 yard run with 2:45 left in the game.

Trinity 27  Montgomery Bell Academy (TN) 23 – MBA led 20-10 early in the second half but the Shamrocks rallied for the victory.

Woodford County 42  Nelson County 27 – George Bowen led the victors with 13 carries for 134 yards including TD runs of 63, 3, and 1 yards and QB Dylan Beasley threw for 283 yards and four touchdowns.

Breathitt County 54  Letcher County Central 16 – QB Richard Trent carried the ball 20 times for 171 yards and scored on runs of 1, 2, 10, 13, and 19 yards to lead the Bobcats.

Bourbon County 48  Madison Southern 27 – Kentayvious Hopkins caught a 17 yard touchdown pass and scored on runs of 13 and 65 yards to lead Bourbon County to a victory.

Bell County 32  Bryan Station 31 OT – Jonathan Polly scored on a two point conversion run to give Bell County the victory.  Polly carried the ball 23 times for 164 yards and Ryan Collett added 127 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries to lead the victors.

Bowling Green 42  Lafayette 20 – Devin Hayes completed 12 of 20 passes for 200 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions to lead the Purples.

Franklin County 63  Western Hills 0 – QB Logan Woodside completed 10 of 11 passes for 251 yards and five touchdowns.

St. Xavier 49  Dutch Fork (SC) 48 3OT – Charles Walker carried the ball 16 times for 170 yards and two touchdowns and Treyveon Percell added 100 yards on 11 carries to lead the Tigers to victory.

Covington Catholic 54  Dixie Heights 0 – QB Blake Bir threw for six touchdown passes to lead the victors.

Anderson County 24  Garrard County 16 – QB Zach Carmichael completed 11 of 13 passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns with one interception to lead the Bearcats.

Harlan County 65  Tates Creek 54 – Jake Middleton led the victors with 334 yards and five touchdowns on 42 carries to lead Harlan County.  Graham Gordon completed 15 of 31 passes for 350 yards and five touchdowns to lead Tates Creek.

Ryle 28  Henry Clay 20 – Tanner Pulice led Ryle with 144 yards on 29 carries.  Elijah Bell led Henry Clay with 176 yards on nine carries.

Eastern 45  Paul L. Dunbar 6 – Cody Wolfe completed 13 of 16 passes for 216 yards and four touchdowns and ran for two touchdowns to lead the Eagles to victory.

John Hardin 70  West Jessamine 27 – Wade Holtsclaw carried the ball seven times for 200 yards and three touchdowns and caught three passes for 76 yards and two touchdowns to lead John Hardin.

Einsworth (TN) 63  Lexington Catholic 14 – Corn Elder carried the ball 12 times for 199 yards and scored on runs of 30, 55, 28, and 76 yards to lead the Tennessee powerhouse to victory.

Anderson County defeated Garrard County by a score of 24-16.  Anderson County recorded 14 first downs and 345 yards of total offense.  They were penalized nine times for 50 yards.  They lost a fumble and had a pass intercepted.  Garrard County recorded 14 first downs and 216 yards of total offense.  They were penalized five times for 53 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Granville Hayes led Anderson County’s ground game with 80 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.  Zach Carmichael completed 11 of 13 passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Ross Cox caught three passes for 100 yards and a touchdown.  Dusty Puckett added three receptions for 66 yards.  Austin Hall caught two passes for 24 yards and a touchdown.  Tristin Ashburn led the defense with four solo and 11 assisted tackles.  Lucas Durr added two solo and eight assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 12 yard loss.  Ross Cox recorded four solo and four assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Zach Carmichael was named player of the game.

Noah Williams led Garrard County’s ground game with 45 yards on 16 carries.  Garrett Caudill carried the ball 10 times for 43 yards.  Billy Abney carried the ball nine times for 29 yards and a touchdown.  Billy Abney completed five of eight passes for 32 yards.  Sl. Crutchfield completed two of three passes for 40 yards with one interception.  J.T. Lyon caught two passes for 39 yards.  Garrett Caudill added two receptions for 20 yards.  Garrett Caudill led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles.  Dylon Worley added three solo and four assisted tackles.  Sl. Crutchfield scored on a 28 yard interception return.

Ensworth (TN) and their star running back Corn Elder came in with lofty reputations and lived up to their press clippings in this ESPN televised game with a 62-14 victory over Lexington Catholic.  Ensworth averaged 10.7 yards per carry on 35 rushing attempts and Corn Elder scored on runs of 30, 55, 28, and 76 yards.  Ensworth recorded 26 first downs and 635 yards of total offense.  They were penalized four times for 36 yards and lost two fumbles.  Lexington Catholic recorded 16 first downs and 313 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized five times for 41 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Corn Elder led Ensworth’s ground game with 199 yards and four touchdowns on 12 carries.  Darius Morehead added 63 yards on six carries.  Andrew Bowers completed 11 of 23 passes for 250 yards and one touchdown.  Myles Pasley caught three passes for 72 yards.  Jourdan Swett added three receptions for 60 yards and a touchdown.  Trent Holt led the defense with five solo tackles.  Justin Lloyd and Corn Elder each recorded four solo tackles.  D. Sheffield added three solo tackles and scored on a 98 yard interception return.  Corn Elder was named Game MVP for Ensworth.

Kyle Bolin led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 30 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.  Bolin completed 27 of 40 passes for 269 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  David Bouvier caught 12 passes for 143 yards.  Sam Letton added five receptions for 49 yards and a touchdown.  Cody Mitchell led the defense with five solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 12 yard loss.  Kairon Snowden added four solo tackles.  David Bouvier was named Game MVP for Lexington Catholic.

Wade Holtsclaw scored five touchdowns in the first half to lead John Hardin to a 35-13 halftime lead on their way to a 70-27 victory over West Jessamine.  John Hardin recorded 21 first downs and 557 yards of total offense.  They were penalized 13 times for 104 yards and lost two fumbles.  West Jessamine recorded 11 first downs and 257 yards of total offense.  The Colts were penalized five times for 32 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Wade Holtsclaw led John Hardin’s ground attack with 200 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries.  Garrett Ray added 69 yards on eight carries.  Elijah Smith carried the ball three times for 56 yards and a touchdown.  Pat. Anderson completed six of 10 passes for 120 yards and three touchdowns.  Wade Holtsclaw caught three passes for 76 yards and two touchdowns.  Dorian Collins added two receptions for 41 yards and a touchdown.  Domonick Brown led the defense with seven solo and seven assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards.  Garrett Ray added five solo and one assisted tackles.  Wade Holtsclaw was named Game MVP for John Hardin.

Devin Taylor led West Jessamine’s ground attack with 133 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries.  Ryan Horne completed eight of 10 passes for 99 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions.  Carter Hahn caught four passes for 70 yards and a touchdown.  Robby Irgang led the defense with eight solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  Irgang also recovered a fumble for a touchdown.  Te Gatobu added four solo tackles and recovered a fumble.  Devin Taylor was named Game MVP for West Jessamine.

Cody Wolfe threw for four touchdowns and ran for two other touchdowns to lead Eastern to a 45-6 victory over Paul L. Dunbar.  Eastern recorded 23 first downs and 411 yards of total offense.  They were penalized 11 times for 115 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Paul L. Dunbar recorded 10 first downs and 153 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized 13 times for 113 yards, lost a fumble, and had one pass intercepted.

Greg Hayes led Eastern’s ground game with 91 yards on six carries.  Cody Wolfe completed 13 of 16 passes for 216 yards and four touchdowns.  Tre Harrison caught five passes for 83 yards and a touchdown.  Lucas Moses added four receptions for 87 yards and a touchdown.  Chauncey Johns led the defense with three solo and two assisted tackles.  Clint Singleton added three solo tackles.

Brandyn Duncan led Dunbar’s ground game with 42 yards on seven carries.  Emory Thompson completed four of 10 passes for 64 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Taylor Smith caught a 33 yard touchdown pass.  Andre Jones led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles.  Antwan Williams added four solo tackles.

Ryle took advantage of Henry Clay turnovers in a 28-20 victory over the Blue Devils.  Ryle scored their first touchdown on a fumble recovery in the end zone and another Henry Clay drive deep in Ryle territory was stopped by a fumble recovery in the final quarter. Ryle surprised Henry Clay by operating out of an I-formation tonight after opening the season operating out of the shotgun formation.  Ryle recorded 19 first downs and 317 yards of total offense.  The Raiders were penalized five times for 41 yards and lost a fumble.  Henry Clay recorded 15 first downs and 404 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized three times for 15 yards, lost three fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.

Tanner Pulice led Ryle’s ground attack with 144 yards on 29 carries.  David Aulick carried the ball 14 times for 95 yards and a touchdown.  Nathan Davis completed four of five passes for 30 yards.  Tanner Pulice caught two passes for 13 yards.  Kevin Walker caught one pass for 17 yards.  Ryan Woolf led the defense with two solo and seven assisted tackles with one fumble recovery.  Dylan Plvan added two solo and five assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  Pvlan also recovered a fumble for a touchdown.

Elijah Bell led Henry Clay’s ground attack with 176 yards on nine carries.  Davion Jackson added 15 carries for 117 yards and a touchdown.  Rhoman James completed eight of 10 passes for 60 yards with one interception.  Austin Black caught five passes for 40 yards.  Cole McCarty led the defense with eight solo and eight assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 23 yards.  Jack Hellmann added four solo and eight assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.

Harlan County’s running backs ran behind their large, talented offensive line for 532 yards and nine touchdowns in a 65-54 victory over Tates Creek.  Harlan County recorded 28 first downs and 535 yards of total offense.  The Black Bears were penalized 16 times for 115 yards and lost three fumbles.  Tates Creek recorded 17 first downs and 420 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized 14 times for 80 yards and lost a fumble.

Jake Middleton led Harlan County’s ground game with 334 yards and six touchdowns on 42 carries.  Cole Wilson added 95 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Treyvon Long added 60 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.  Austin Maggard completed his only pass for three yards.  Treyvon Long caught one pass for three yards.  Carson Whitehead led the defense with eight solo and two assisted tackles with three of his losses resulting in losses totaling 13 yards.  Austin Maggard added four solo and two assisted tackles.

Dennis Oxendine led Tates Creek’s ground game with 59 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries.  Graham Gordon completed 15 of 31 passes for 350 yards and five touchdowns.  Marcus Wilkerson caught four passes for 134 yards and a touchdown.  Dennis Oxendine caught four passes for 83 yards and a touchdown.  R.J. Taylor caught a 78 yard TD pass.  Zach Hinds led the defense with six solo and seven assisted tackles.  Jay Rayford added four solo and one assisted tackles.

Blue Tisdale scored on a one yard run on the final play of the second quarter to give Bowling Green a 21-14 halftime lead on their way to a 42-20 victory over Lafayette.  Bowling Green recorded 17 first downs and 346 yards of total offense.  The Purples were penalized nine times for 88 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Lafayette recorded 15 first downs and 249 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized 10 times for 65 yards.

Blue Tisdale led the Bowling Green ground game with 85 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries.  Devin Hayes completed 12 of 20 passes for 200 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions.  Nacarius Fant caught five passes for 107 yards and a touchdown.  Spencer Renfro added two receptions for 44 yards and two touchdowns.  Lincoln Quick led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles.  Shaw. Hutchins added five solo and three assisted tackles.

Kylan Nelson led Lafayette’s ground game with 50 yards on seven carries.  Garrett Peavler completed 24 of 36 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns.  Darius Hughes caught eight passes for 66 yards.  Josh Dunn added seven receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown.  Tranard Chester caught four passes for 65 yards and a touchdown.  T.J. Broadus led the defense with six solo tackles.  Justin Carr added five solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.

Franklin County raced out to a 56-0 halftime lead on their way to a 63-0 victory over Western Hills.  Franklin County scored touchdowns on their first nine possessions. QB Logan Woodside was razor sharp tonight as he completed 10 of 11 passes for 251 yards and five touchdowns.  Franklin County recorded 13  first downs and 435 yards of total offense.  The Flyers were penalized nine times for 82 yards and lost two fumbles.  Western Hills recorded seven first downs and 142 yards of total offense.  The Wolverines were penalized seven times for 44 yards, lost three fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.

Logan Woodside led Franklin County’s ground game with 76 yards on one carry.  Ryan Timmons carried the ball four times for 43 yards and two touchdowns.  Logan Woodside completed 10 of 11 passes for 251 yards and five touchdowns.  Ryan Timmons caught three passes for 133 yards and two touchdowns.  Brandon Smith added two receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown.  Greg Maupin caught two passes for 51 yards and a touchdown.  Jared Marshall led the defense with three solo and six assisted tackles.  Greg Maupin added four solo and three assisted tackles.

Dan Childress led Western Hills’ ground game with 54 yards on 12 carries.  Casey McLean carried the ball 12 times for 50 yards.  Dan Childress completed two of four passes for three yards.  Cody Williams caught one pass for four yards.   Casey McLean led the defense with four solo tackles.  Zach Hart added three solo and two assisted tackles.

Highlands rolled up 617 yards of total offense in a 60-37 victory over Scott County.  Highlands recorded 30 first downs and 617 yards of total offense including 453 yards on the ground.  The Bluebirds were penalized seven times for 62 yards and lost a fumble.  Scott County recorded 15 first downs and 414 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized 13 times for 85 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Zach Harris led Highlands’ ground attack with 122 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries.  Jaylen Hayes carried the ball 12 times for 113 yards and two touchdowns.  Donovan McCoy added 104 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries.  Donovan McCoy completed five of 10 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown.  Colin Seidl caught three passes for 28 yards.  Luke Turner added two receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown.  Ben Streeter led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles.  Streeter also intercepted a pass.  Joe Paolucci added four solo and two assisted tackles.

Dier. Dumphord led the Scott County ground game with 121 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.  Hunter Nelson carried the ball six times for 66 yards and a touchdown.  Clay McKee completed five of 11 passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions.  Scott Daniel caught three passes for 53 yards and a touchdown.  Kevo Edwards caught an 80 yard touchdown pass.  Grayson Miller led the defense with seven solo and seven assisted tackles.  Damon Gray added four solo and nine assisted tackles.
