Rick Bolus’ 33rd High Potential® Blue Chip Basketball Camp® Session2
The camp had three all-star games this week. I have included a capsule report on each game.
Junior Blue Chip All-Star Game – The Gold team defeated the White team by a score of 39-34. 6-1 8th grader Peyton Broughton (North Laurel London, KY) was named Gold team Game MVP and scored eight points. 6-1 Fr. Joeb Bartley (Floyd Central Floyds Knobs IN) also scored eight points. 5-9 Fr. Cade Crosland (White County Sparta, TN) and 5-10 Fr. Michael Williams (Blytheville AR) chipped in with seven and six points respectively.5-8 6th grader Dominique Knight (Jefferson County Traditional Louisville, KY) was named Game Runner-UP MVP for the White team and scored eight points. 5-7 Fr. Gregory Frist (Christian Academy Louisville, KY) led the White team with nine points on three three point baskets.
Second All-Star Game – The Gold team defeated the White team by a score of 59-48. 6-2 Sr. Jaucoby Poore (Barren County Glasgow, KY) was named Gold team Game MVP and scored 13 points. 6-0 Sr. Jalen Oliver (Frankfort, KY) and 6-6 Sr. Tyler Landry (North Hardin Radcliff, KY) added seven points each. 6-5 Jr. Caleb Wiggington (Taylor County Campbellsville, KY) was named Game Runner-Up MVP from the White team and recorded 14 points including four three point baskets. 6-0 Jr. Cody Hildebrand (Payson Seymour Payson, IL) and 6-5 Jr. Joe Bob Charles (Gilmer Ellijay, GA) added eight and seven points respectively.
Top All-Star Game MVP – The Gold team defeated the White team by a score of 80-67. 6-6 Sr. Joel Wurm (LaSalette Academy Georgetown, IL) was named Game MVP for the Gold team and scored 13 points. 6-2 Sr. Joshua Stoner (Male Louisville, KY) led the Gold team with 17 points. 5-10 Sr. Tyler Harville (Lexington Christian Academy Lexington, KY) chipped in with 14 points including four three point baskets and continues to impress with his “lights-out” long range accuracy. 6-4 Sr. Michael Morgan (Creek Wood Chrlotte, TN) was named Game Runner-Up MVP from the White team and scored eight points and impressed with his athleticism. 5-11 Fr. Braxton Beverly (Perry County Central Hazard, KY) scored 12 points and impressed with his ability to score and floor skills and remember he is only a rising Freshman. 6-3 Sr. Randel Pickett (Southern Louisville, KY) and 6-0 Sr. Kelton Ford (LaRue County Hodgenville, KY) added 10 points each.
