Gallatin County coach Jon Jones started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Travis Davis, 5-10 Jr. Kristian Morgan, 6-0 Sr. Zak Brown, 6-0 Jr. Nick Brown, and 5-6 Sr. Elijah Ingram.  Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-5 Sr. Tamron Manning, 6-3 Sr. Isaiah Ivey, 6-4 Sr. Josh Harris, 6-0 Jr. Quin Richardson, and 6-1 So. Trenton Gilbert.

Scott County led 39-34 at halftime and pulled away in the second half to defeat Gallatin County 75-59.  Scott County shot 50.9% from the field including seven of 14 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 15 Gallatin County turnovers.  Scott County held a 17-2 advantage in second chance points.  Gallatin County shot 34.6% from the field including seven of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Wildcats connected on 16 of 21 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 18 Scott County turnovers.

Trenton Gilbert led Scott County with 19 points including three three point baskets.  Isaiah Ivey added 17 points and 10 rebounds.  Tamron Manning recorded 14 points and eight rebounds.

Travis Davis led Gallatin County with 23 points including four three point baskets.  Zak Brown added 16 points.

Elizabethtown led Jeffersontown 48-47 after three quarters but Jeffersontown rallied to earn a 73-66 victory.  Jeffersontown shot 41.9% from the field including two of 15 from the three point line.  The Chargers connected on 19 of 25 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 28 Elizabethtown turnovers.  Elizabethtown shot 48.9% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Panthers connected on 17 of 22 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 13 Jeffersontown turnovers.

Diondrey Holt led Jeffersontown with 22 points including 10 of 13 from the free throw line.  Demichael Jackson added 21 points and six steals.  Greg Minor checked in with 11 points.

Bryce Byrd led Elizabethtown with 14 points.  6-0 So. Ja’Von Cotton and Nic McDonald added 11 points each.  Zane Najdawi recorded seven points and 16 rebounds.

Trenton Gilbert.  Franklin County coach Scott Chalk countered with 6-5 Sr. Garrett Hamilton, 6-3 Jr. Logan Woodside, 6-3 So. Chris Roberts, 6-3 Sr. Eric Meyer, and 5-11 Jr. Ryan Timmons.

Scott County defeated Franklin County by a score of 88-57.  Scott county shot 51.6% from the field including four of 15 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 20 of 24 free throws, pulled down 50 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 13 Franklin County turnovers.  Scott County held a 20-7 advantage in second chance points and a 27-11 advantage in bench scoring.  Franklin County shot 34.4% from the field including five of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Flyers connected on eight of 13 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored eight points off 15 Scott County turnovers.

Isaiah Ivey led Scott County with 20 points including 10 of 12 free throws and pulled down nine rebounds.  Tamron Manning added 18 points and 10 rebounds.  Trenton Gilbert, Josh Harris, and 6-2 Jr. Jalen Haddix chipped in with 10, nine, and nine points respectively.

Ryan Timmons led Franklin County with 14 points and four steals.  Logan Woodside added 11 points and six rebounds.  Eric Meyer chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets.  Chris Roberts recorded nine points and seven rebounds.

Southwestern defeated West Jessamine by a score of 79-50.  Southwestern shot 51.7% from the field including eight of 22 from the three point line.  The Warriors connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 26 West Jessamine turnovers.  West Jessamine shot 40.9% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Colts connected on 11 of 14 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 15 Southwestern turnovers.

David Kapinga led Southwestern with 22 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and five steals.  Kapinga was nine of 10 from the field including three of three from the three point line and one of two from the free throw line.  Justin Edwards added 17 points.  Cody Epperson and 6-5 Sr. Daulton Marlow recorded 11 points each.

David Greenwell led Woodford County with 22 points.  Greenwell was eight of 11 from the field including two of three from the three point line and four of five from the free throw line.  Rodney Gross added 10 points.

Lafayette led 28-17 in the third quarter and withstood a Dunbar rally to earn a 50-48 victory.  Neither team could find the mark from the free throw line as Dunbar was 11 of 27 (40.7%) and Lafayette was four of 14 (28.6%) from the line.  Lafayette shot 40% from the field including two of 16 from the three point line.  The Generals pulled down 44 rebounds and scored 15 points off 15 Dunbar turnovers.  Lafayette held a 21-6 advantage in second effort points.  Dunbar shot 42.9% from the field including one of five from beyond the arc.  The Bulldogs pulled down 24 rebounds and scored 19 points off 18 Lafayette turnovers.

Nick Trisko led Lafayette with 14 points and 17 rebounds.  Charles Sweat-Washington also scored 14 points.  Tranard Chester chipped in with 10 points and Jackson Davis recorded nine points, nine rebounds, and six blocked shots.

William Gary and Mike Smith each scored 17 points for Dunbar tonight.

Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey started the following lineup: 6-1 Jr. Ashton Feldhaus, 5-9 Jr. Heather Hinkle, 5-10 Sr. Kristen Congleton, 5-5 Jr. Larryn Brooks, and 5-6 Sr. Ashley Hinkle.  Lexington Catholic coach Chelsea Chowning countered with 6-0 Sr. Alex Botkin, 6-0 Sr. Emily Johns, 6-0 Sr. Elizabeth Walton, 5-8 Sr. Bonnie Rhule, and 5-9 Jr. Octavia Wilson.

Madison Central’s Larryn Brooks hit two free throws with less than 10 seconds on the clock and got a big defensive stop at the buzzer to earn a 45-43 victory over Lexington Catholic tonight.  Lexington Catholic led 33-28 at halftime and it looked like this would be a high scoring affair.  However Lexington Catholic went into a scoring drought in the second half only scoring 10 points after the intermission.  Lexington Catholic did not score until 1:45 remained in the third quarter and until 1:09 remained in the final quarter.

Both teams played solid defense in the second half with Madison Central taking a 41-37 lead with 1:33 remaining in the game.  Octavia Wilson pulled LexCath within one; 41-40 with a three point basket with 1:09 remaining on the clock.  Ashley Hinkle then hit a basket to give Madison Central a 43-40 lead.  Lexington Catholic’s Bonnie Rhule responded with a three point basket to tie the score 43-43 with 26 seconds left in the game.  Madison Central’s Larryn Brooks then hit two free throws and Lexington Catholic called a time out with 3.5 seconds with possession of the ball.  The Lady Knights got off a hurried shot at the buzzer but the shot was partially blocked and the Lady Indians earned a big victory on the road.

Madison Central shot 44.1% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Indians connected on 11 of 18 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored seven points off 10 Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 29.5% from the field including four of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights only shot 14.3% (3-21) in the second half.  They connected on 13 of 16 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored seven points off 12 Madison Central turnovers.

Larryn Brooks led Madison Central with 22 points and four assists.  Ashton Feldhaus added 11 points, six rebounds, and four blocked shots.

Octavia Wilson led Lexington Catholic with 12 points including seven of eight free throws and four assists.  Emily Johns added 11 points and five rebounds.  Alex Botkin pulled down nine rebounds.
