2011 Rick Bolus Basketball Camps

The High Potential/Blue-Chip Camps will start its 32nd season this coming Sunday (June 26-30) and conclude July 17-21.  Both sessions are at Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY.

Some of the top players who’ll showcase their talent this summer include:

All of the above players are considered in the top 500 for their respective classes in America.  The all-star games are Wednesday of each session at 10 PM and are open to the public at no charge.

 

On the girls’ side, the High Potential Basketball Showcase Minicamp will be held July 1-2 at Georgetown College (KY).  Some of the marquee players that will be in attendance include:

It seems like each year you see many girls in the seventh and eighth grades logging quality minutes and even starring at he high school level.  There were several girls in the seventh and eighth grades on the rosters at today’s event.  6-1 8th grader Amanda Bailey (Benton North Marshall Middle School KY), 5-7 7th grader Maurissa Brown (Covington Holmes Middle School KY), 6-6 8th grader Nora Kiesler (Louisville Assumption KY), 5-7 8th grader Alie Mills (Walton Walton Verona KY), 5-4 7th grader Hannah Niemeyer (Independence Summit View KY), 6-0 8th grader Christessica Priddy (Munfordville Hart County KY), 5-5 8th grader Tyler Smith (Ludlow KY), 5-8 8th grader Deja Turner (Covington KY), and 5-4 8th grader Torianna Wofford (Ludlow KY).

Deja Turner and Maurissa Brown were named to the all tournament team and Rick Bolus noted Nora Kiesler and Amanda Bailey turned in impressive performances.  Expect several of these girls to continue to improve and compete for quality playing time in the future.

13th Annual East-West Roundball Classic

 

The young ladies from Assumption High School had an impressive run on Saturday.  They played on the team designated Team 3 and won their games by scores of 80-50, 72-45, and 92-71 for an average victory margin of 26 ppg.  The members of the team were:

Becca Durbin  5-7  Jr.

Katie Friedrich  5-9 So.

Megan Johnson  5-9 So.

Kelsey Kaiser  5-11  So.

Nora Kiesler  6-6  8th grader

Erin Mullen  5-6  So.

Dee Dee Sliter  5-8  So.

Alyx White  5-4  So.

Becca Durbin, Katie Friedrich, and Dee Dee Sliter all were named to the all tournament team with Katie Friedrich being named tournament MVP.

Rick Bolus also mentioned Nora Kiesler as one of the impressive 8th graders playing in this event.

13th Annual East West Roundball Classic

DuPont Manual High School

Louisville, KY

April 9, 2011

 

Largest one day exposure event for boys and girls in Kentucky, Southern Indiana, and surrouunding states.  Each All-Star will get immediate exposure to some of the top Division II, Division III, NAIA, and Junior Colleges in the Mid-West and Southeast Regions.  This years’s event will showcase players from the Class of 2011 thru Class of 2017.  This event is promoted and marketed through Allgood Hoops®, Rick Bolus High Potential® , and the Kentucky Basketball Foundation.  The host site will be duPont Manual High School.  The address is 120 W. Lee Street.  Bluegrass Insider Scouting Service, Rick Bolus High Potential® Scouting Service, and The Kentucky Basketball Foundation (dereksmithallstars.org) will cover the event.  I will also cover this event on my site kyprephoops.com and on my blog.

 

The cost is $95 per player and the registration is due April 2nd , 2011.  Each player receives three games, one East/West Roundball Classic T jersey and one meal ticket.

The 13th annual East-West Roundball Classic attracted 80 players from a three state area on April 9th at Louisville Manual H.S. (KY).  Several college coaches and scouting services were in attendence.
