Paul Laurence Dunbar hit 10 of 10 free throws in the third overtime to capture a 48-40 thriller over West Jessamine.  PLD shot 28.8% from the field including one of 16 from the three point line.  The Bulldogs connected on 17 of 20 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 18 West Jessamine turnovers.  West Jessamine shot 31.3% from the field including two of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Colts connected on eight of 11 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 17 PLD turnovers.

5-11 So. William Gary led PLD with 15 points.  Clay Coyle added 13 points.  Sean Lamanna chipped in with eight points and nine rebounds.  Lamont Johnson recorded six points and 14 rebounds.

Boone County defeated Sacred Heart Academy by a score of 55-50.  Boone County led 20-9 in the second quarter but Sacred Heart rallied to lead 39-36 after three quarters.  Sacred Heart increased their lead and held a 50-40 lead with 2:35 minutes left in the game.  Boone County roared back to outscore Sacred Heart 15-0 in the closing minutes to claim the victory.

Boone County shot 34% from the field including five of 21 from the three point line.  The Lady Rebels connected on 16 of 22 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 21 Sacred Heart turnovers.  Sacred Heart shot 42% from the field including two of nine from beyond the arc.  The Valkyries connected on six of 14 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 18 Boone County turnovers.

Eastern hit their free throws down the stretch to hold off a determined Scott County squad by a score of 66-60.  There were nine lead changes and seven ties in the game.  Eastern shot 44.9% from the field including two of eight from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on 20 of 22 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored six points off 12 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 36.9% from the field including six of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Cardinals connected on six of 10 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 21 Eastern turnovers.

Lyonell Gaines led Eastern with 22 points and 12 rebounds.  Gaines also had an excellent defensive effort against Scott County’s Tamron Manning.  Remy Abell and Byron Sanford added 15 and 10 points respectively.  Kameron Woods pulled down 10 rebounds and blocked three shots.
