Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Annamarie Campbell, 5-11 Sr. Monica McGreal, 5-10 Sr. Morgan Clemons. 5-5 Sr. Hannah Washle, and 5-4 Sr. Maddie Peabody.  Ballard coach Steve Kaufman countered with 6-0 Fr. Javonna Layfield, 5-10 Fr. Kianna Richardson, 5-10 So. Iesha Davis, 5-7 Jr. Daryius Franklin, and 5-9 So. Alexus Colbert.

Sacred Heart shot 65.2% from the field in the first half and took a 39-20 lead on their way to a 57-45 victory over Ballard.  Sacred Heart cooled off in the second half only shooting 25% from the field allowing Ballard to cut the final deficit to 12; 57-45.

Sacred Heart shot 44.7% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on 10 of 20 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 26 Ballard turnovers.  Ballard shot 31.7% from the field including one of seven from beyond the arc.  The Lady Bruins connected on 18 of 29 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored nine points off 23 Sacred Heart turnovers.

Maddie Peabody led Sacred Heart with 18 points including four three point baskets.  Peabody was six of nine from the field including four of seven from the three point line two of four free throws.  Morgan Clemons added 10 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and five steals.

Javonna Layfield led Ballard with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and four steals.  Daryius Franklin added 10 points.

Knott County Central coach BB King started the following lineup: 6-4 Sr. Mikey Slone, 6-2 Jr. Zack Davis, 6-5 Sr. Nason Roberts, 5-9 Jr. Seth Adams, and 5-11 Sr. Evan Potter.  Bryan Station coach Mike Allen countered with 6-3 So. Larry Morton, 6-2 Sr. Deon Renfro, 6-2 Sr. Ray Roberts, 5-11 Sr. Otis Webb, and 5-10 Sr. Tim Brown.

Knott County Central defeated Bryan Station by a score of 44-33.  Bryan Station led 21-20 at halftime but only connected on four of 24  (16.7%) from the field in the second half. Knott county Central outscored Bryan Station 15-2 in the final period. Knott County Central shot 44.8% (13 of 29) from the field including five of 12 from the three point line.  The Patriots connected on 13 of 20 from the free throw line, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored nine points off nine Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 24.1% (13 of 54) including four of 29 from beyond the arc.  The Defenders connected on three of seven free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 20 Knott County Central turnovers.

Zack Davis led Knott County Central with 16 points and eight rebounds.  Seth Adams added 11 points including three three point baskets.  Nason Roberts recorded six points and 14 rebounds.

Otis Webb led Bryan Station with 13 points including two three point baskets and recorded four steals.  Deon Renfro added six points.

Highlands coach Mike Flynn started the following lineup: 6-7 Sr. Jack Stewart, 6-3 Sr. Connor Crowley, 6-5 Jr. Patrick Towles, 6-2 Sr. Ryan Egan, and Sr. Alex Dean.  Manual coach Jimmy Just countered with 6-1 Sr. Shy Heath, 6-2 Jr. Noel Eckman, 6-2 Jr. Quintez Sutton, 6-0 Jr. Trey Wells, and 6-0 Jr. Bryan Repishti.

Manual defeated highlands by a score of 65-55.  Manual shot 39.7% from the field including six of 25 from the three point line.  The Crimsons connected on 13 of 22 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 22 Highlands turnovers.  Highlands shot 54.8% from the field including six of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Bluebirds connected on three of seven free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 15 points off nine Manual turnovers.

Quintez Sutton led Manual with 21 points and six rebounds.  Trey Wells added 18 points.  Noel Eckman recorded six points and nine rebounds.

Patrick Towles led Highlands with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Towles was seven of nine from the field including one of one from beyond the arc, and one of three from the free throw line.  Ryan Egan added 12 points and seven rebounds.  Jr. Samson Lewis chipped in with 10 points.

Nick Jackson, 5-10 Sr. Cameron Haynes, and 6-1 Sr.  Kellen Smith.  Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-2 Sr. Trae Stewart, 6-4 Fr. Jordan Green, 6-6 Sr. Daniel Kiesling, 6-0 Sr. Brandon Nichols, and 5-8 Jr. Wes Kimball.

Henry Clay raced out to a 14-2 first quarter lead on their way to a 79-50 victory over Scott. Henry Clay shot 55.4% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 12 of 26 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 23 Scott turnovers. Scott shot 32.1% from the field including seven of 26 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on nine of 13 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored five points off 18 Henry Clay turnovers.

Brandon Nichols led Henry Clay with 27 points.  Nichols was 10 of 15 from the field including two of five from beyond the arc, and five of nine from the free throw line.  Jordan Green added 18 points and Wes Kimball recorded 12 points and seven assists.  Daniel Kiesling chipped in with eight points and nine rebounds.

Kellen Smith led Scott with 18 points.  Cameron Haynes added 17 points including three three point baskets.

Holy cross defeated East Jessamine by a score of 71-66.  Holy cross shot 51.8% from the field including six of 12 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on seven of 18 from the free throw line, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 21 East Jessamine turnovers.  East Jessamine shot 39% from the field including eight of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on 12 of 21 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 22 Holy Cross turnovers.

Jr. Jake Burger led Holy Cross with 18 points including three three point baskets and dished out six assists.  Rob Broering added 15 points including two three point baskets.  5-11 So. Christian McClendon recorded 14 points.  6-5 Sr.  Noah Knochelman added 10 points.

6-1 Sr. Andrew Brockman led East Jessamine with 19 points including two three point baskets and pulled down seven rebounds.  Michael Rexroat added 16 points including four three point baskets and pulled down seven rebounds.  Cody Collins added 12 points and seven rebounds.

Newport outscored Paris 18-8 in the third quarter on their way to a 62-55 victory.  Paris led 30-25 at halftime but Newport rallied for the victory.  Newport shot 49% from the field including four of 15 from the three point line.  The Wildcats connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 10 Paris turnovers.  Paris shot 40% from the field including two of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Greyhounds connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 17 Newport turnovers.

Travis Jones led Newport with 13 points including two three point baskets and pulled down five rebounds.  5-8 so. Daylin Garland added 11 points and K’Ron Covington chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds.  Ron Rice and Andrew Merrill recorded nine points each and six and five rebounds respectively.

Aaron Jacobs led Paris with 24 points and 10 rebounds.  Davion Griggs and Davi Stanley added 13 and 10 points respectively.

Tates Creek held a 19-2 advantage in free throw points in a 61-46 victory over Lafayette.  Tates Creek led 30-26 at halftime and pulled away in the second half for the victory.  Tates Creek shot 43.2% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line.  The commodores connected on 19 of 29 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 23 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 36.4% from the field including four of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on two of five free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 19 Tates Creek turnovers.

Marcellus Barksdale led Tates Creek with 21 points, nine rebounds, and four steals.  Ryan Fucci added 16 points and four steals.  Darius Gibson also reached double figures with 12 points.

Jackson Davis led Lafayette with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Dee Yarbrough added 10 points and four steals.

Katelin Bundy, 6-1 Jr. Kristen Jacobs. 5-4 Jr. Kelli Mitchuson, and 5-5 Sr. Rachel Cox.

Lafayette held a 17-5 advantage on second effort points and was 18 of 26 from the free throw line as they captured their first victory of the season with a 54-50 come-from-behind victory over LCA.  LCA led 37-31 after three quarters but Lafayette outscored the Lady Eagles 23-13 in the final quarter.  Kelli Rinehart, Kristen Jacobs, and Rachel Cox all fouled out for LCA.

Lafayette shot 30.4% from the field including two of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 18 of 26 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 32 LCA turnovers.  LCA shot 46% from the field including two of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Eagles connected on two of five free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 22 Lafayette turnovers.

5-9 Sr. Mackenzie Graham led Lafayette with 14 points.  Shomari Kendrick added 11 points, nine rebounds, and six steals.  Jariana Gillespie, Kenyale Demus, and Taylor Mynear each recorded eight points.  Gillespie and Demus each pulled down six rebounds.

Kelli Rinehart led LCA with 18 points and 10 rebounds.  Kristen Jacobs added 14 points and 12 rebounds.  Rachel Cox dished out 10 assists.

Henry Clay held a 43-21 advantage in rebounds and a 15-5 advantage in second chance points in a 68-57 victory over Manual.  Henry Clay shot 50.9% from the field including five of 13 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on nine of 20 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored nine points off 10 Manual turnovers.  Manual shot 43.6% from the field including six of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Crimsons connected on three of seven free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 14 Henry Clay turnovers.

Daniel Kiesling led five Henry Clay Blue Devils in double figures with 16 points and 11 rebounds.  Kiesling was six of eight from the field and four of four from the free throw line.  Wes Kimball added 14 points and six assists.  Kendrick Prewitt chipped in with 13 points and six rebounds.  Brandon Nichols added 12 points and 6-4 Fr. Jordan Green continues to impress with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Bryan Repishti led Manual with 15 points including three three point baskets.  Repishti was six of eight from the field including three of three from beyond the arc.  Quintez Sutton added 12 points.

Dominique Hawkins.  Lexington Christian Academy coach Tommy Huston countered with 6-1 Jr. Patrick Nickodem, 6-1 Sr. Joe Duncan, 6-5 Sr. Max Barjuca, 5-10 Sr. Carter Helton, and 6-2 Jr. Taylor Barnette.

LCA led 36-22 early in the third quarter and withstood a Madison Central rally in the final quarter to take a 62-59 decision over Madison Central.  LCA shot 45.5% from the field including three of 17 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on 19 of 29 free thrpws. pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 15 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 41.7% from the field including five of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on 14 of 23 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 11 LCA turnovers.

Carter Helton led LCA with 21 points, six rebounds, and seven steals.  Helton was six of eight from the field and nine of 10 from the free throw line.  Taylor Barnette added 15 points.  5-9 So. Tyler Harville came off the bench to add 14 points including three three point baskets.

Dominique Hawkins came up big for Madison Central as he scored 29 points and pulled down six rebounds.  Hawkins was 10 of 14 from the field and eight of 10 from the free throw line.  John O’Bryan added 10 points including three three point baskets.  Nick Ford pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.
