Lafayette averaged a robust 8.2 yards per offensive play on 68 plays in a 45-21 victory over Franklin County.  Lafayette recorded 19 first downs and 556 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized 12 times for 101 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Franklin County recorded nine first downs and 167 yards of total offense.  The Flyers were penalized seven times for 38 yards, lost three fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.

Bubba Johnson led Lafayette’s ground game with 133 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries.  Matt Britt completed 13 of 21 passes for 309 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Tanner Napier caught five passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns.  Bubba Johnson added five receptions for 66 yards.  Nick Jeter caught three passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns.  Justin Carr led the defense with three solo and four assisted tackles.  Trey Benson added three solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 12 yards.

Ryan Timmons led Franklin County’s ground game with 33 yards on three carries.  Zach Bowman completed 16 of 26 passes for 145 yards and a TD with one interception.  Jalen Jones caught three passes for 75 yards and a TD.  Ryan Timmons led the defense with six solo and three assisted tackles.  Jay Brough added four solo and two assisted tackles.

Lone Oak defeated Lexington Catholic by a score of 33-25.  Lone Oak got off to a fast start as they opened the game with an eight play scoring drive which culminated in a 10 yard TD run by Davontae Wilson.  The Purple Flash led 13-3 at the half.  Lexington Catholic scored in the third quarter on a four yard run by Kyle Bolin and a two point conversion pass from Luke Fish to Anthony Kersey to make the score 13-11.

Turnovers and other mistakes doomed Lexington Catholic over the next  few minutes as Lone Oak pulled away for a 33-11 lead with 10:42 remaining in the game.  Lexington Catholic finally got untracked on offense and pulled to within eight; 33-25 with 2:29 left in the game. Lexington Catholic had one more opportunity but had to give up the ball on downs.

Lone Oak recorded 16 first downs and 342 yards of total offense.  The Purple Flash were penalized eight times for 72 yards and lost a fumble.  Lexington Catholic recorded 18 first downs including 10 in the final quarter and 287 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized six times for 33 yards, lost a fumble and had two passes intercepted.

Bryce Wright led Lone Oak’s ground game with 80 yards and a TD on 14 carries.  Joeontre Starks carried the ball eight times for 55 yards.  Cole Ousley completed 13 of 27 passes for 172 yards.  Joeontre Starks caught five passes for 47 yards.  Felix Colon added two receptions for 85 yards.  Davontae Wilson led the defense with nine solo tackles.  Payton Harris and Felix Colon each recorded five solo tackles.

Kyle Bolin led the Lexington Catholic ground game with 59 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.  Kyle Bolin completed 18 of 43 passes for 199 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions.  Luke fish caught five passes for 62 yards.  Adam Bush added four receptions for 75 yards.  James Maddox caught four passes for 28 yards and a touchdown.  Adam Wachs led the defense with eight solo and one assisted tackles.  Anthony Kersey added six solo and one assisted tackles.

Henry Clay scored 14 points in the last 2:36 of the game to defeat Scott County by a score of 31-20.  Scott County took a 20-17 lead on a 20 yard field goal by Jay Willmott with 3:34 left on the clock.  Henry Clay’s Jerry Williams hit Bo Brooks with a screen pass and Brooks manuevered through traffic for a 69 yard TD to give the Blue Devils a 24-20  lead with 2:36 remaining in the game.  The Cardinals marched down the field to the Henry Clay 29 before Anthony Mealy picked off a Ben Lawler pass and returned it 89 yards for a TD to ensure a big win on the road for Henry Clay.

Henry Clay recorded 17 first downs and 472 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized eight times for 58 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.  Scott County recorded 12 first downs and 271 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized four times for 16 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Jerry Williams led the Henry Clay ground attack with 154 yards on 17 carries.  Blake Green carried the ball three times for 45 yards.  Jerry Williams completed 16 of 24 passes for 245 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions.  Carwell Gardner caught five psses for 69 yards and two touchdowns.  Blake Green added four receptions for 41 yards.  Bo Brooks caught three passes for 91 yards and a TD.  Sean Bryant led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles.  James Hendron added six solo and one assisted tackles.  Anthony Mealy had an 89 yard interception return for a touchdown.

Marcus Hill led Scott County’s ground attack with 93 yards on 17 carries.  Josh Walls carried the ball 10 times for 40 yards and a TD.  Ben Lawler completed eight of 16 passes for 141 yards and a TD with two interceptions.  James Happy caught six passes for 92 yards.  Jordan Kindred led the defense with six solo passes with two of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 10 yards.  JT True added four solo and one assisted tackles.  Jay Wilmott kicked two field goals, punted three times for a 46.3 yard average and recorded four touchbacks on four kickoffs.

Paul Dunbar snapped a nine game losing streak with a 38-22 victory over Woodford County.  Dunbar recorded 13 first downs and 323 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized six times for 58 yards and lost a fumble.  Woodford County recorded 18 first downs and 317 yards of total offense.  The Yellow Jackets were penalized twice for 15 yards, and had a pass intercepted.

Paul Jones led Dunbar’s ground game with 240 yards and a TD on 21 carries.  Blake Martin completed five of 10 passes for 52 yards and two touchdowns.  William Gary caught three passes for 38 yards and two touchdowns.  Andrew Quick led the defense with four solo and six assisted tackles.  Jordan Gatewood added five solo and one assisted tackles.

Henry Clay defeated Pulaski County 35-28 in two overtimes.  Henry Clay got the ball first in the second overtime and appeared to be in trouble as they faced a 4th and goal from the Pulaski County 14 yard line.  However a pass interference call gave Henry Clay a 1st and goal from the seven yard line.  Two plays later Bo Brooks scored on a seven yard run and AJ Yewell kicked the extra point.  Pulaski county then got the ball but failed to move the ball.

Henry Clay recorded 16 first downs and 365 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized eight times for 52 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Pulaski County recorded 18 first downs and 343 yards of total offense.  The Maroons were penalized seven times for 51 yards, lost a fumble, and had four passes intercepted.

Jerry Williams led the Henry Clay ground game with 134 yards and a TD on 17 carries.  Bo Brooks carried the ball 12 times for 61 yards and two touchdowns.  Jerry Williams completed nine of 24 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Blake Green caught five passes for 102 yards and a touchdown.  Charles McCarty led the defense with 10 solo and six assisted tackles.  McCarty also had a 51 yard fumble recovery return.  Sean Bryant added seven solo and three assisted tackles.  Ryan Duzyk intercepted two passes with return yardage of 43 yards.

Alex Abner led Pulaski County’s ground game with 71 yards and a TD on 14 carries.  Zach Eastham completed 22 of 33 passes for a TD with four interceptions.  Alex Abner caught 11 passes for 74 yards.  Steve McQueen caught four passes for 92 yards.  Logan Joseph led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 12 yards.  Steve McQueen added five solo and one assisted tackles.

Lafayette pulled away in the second half to defeat Mercer County 27-13 and claim their first victory of the year.  Lafayette recorded nine first downs and 310 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized nine times for 96 yards and lost two fumbles.  Mercer County recorded 18 first downs and 231 yards of total offense.  They were penalized seven times for 35 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Bubba Johnson led Lafayette’s ground game with 128 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries.  Matt Britt completed nine of 12 passes for 157 yards and two touchdowns.  Tanner Napier caught four passes for 78 yards and a TD.  Nick Jeter caught a 59 yard scoring reception.  Justin Carr led the defense with six solo and eight assisted tackles.  Trey Benson added one solo and nine assisted tackles.  Bubba Johnson chipped in with three solo and two assisted tackles with a fumble recovery and an interception.

Zach Russell led Mercer County’s ground attack with 74 yards on 20 carries.  Alex Guay added 52 yards and a TD on 11 carries.  Alex Guay completed five of 11 passes for 64 yards and a TD with two interceptions.  Donovan Ellis caught four passes for 42 yards.  GW Anderson led the defense with two solo and two assisted tackles.  Matthew Sims and Donovan Ellis each recorded two solo and one assisted tackles.

Tates Creek took advantage of turnovers to take a 20-0 lead on their way to a 35-21 lead over Bryan Station.

Tates Creek recorded 18 first downs and 337 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized seven times for 45 yards and lost three fumbles.  Bryan Station recorded 14 first downs and 273 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized four times for 29 yards and had four passes intercepted.

Jontez Jones led Tates Creek’s ground attack with 119 yards and a TD on 18 carries.  Brandon Shrout added 75 yards and a TD on 11 carries.  Dee Christopher completed seven of 14 passes for 120 yards.  Martrell Berry caught three passes for 61 yards.  Aubrey Lewis added three receptions for 45 yards.  Jon. Meadors led the defense with five solo and seven assisted tackles.  William Hardin added five solo and two assisted tackles.  Dennis Oxendine intercepted two passes and returned one of his picks 29 yards for a touchdown.

LeDarius Jackson led Bryan Station’s ground attack with 56 yards and three touchdowns on three carries.  Michael Morton completed eight of 19 passes for 113 yards with three passes intercepted.  Tyriq Roberts caught six passes for 96 yards.  Tim Hayden led the defense with four solo and four assisted tackles.  Loran Smith added five solo tackles.

Boone County defeated Scott County by a score of 17-6 tonight.  Boone County was three for three in red-zone scoring opportunities while Scott County was zero for three.

Boone County recorded 14 first downs and 267 yards of total offense.  The Rebels were penalized 10 times for 93 yards and lost a fumble.  Scott County recorded 12 first downs and 207 yards of total offense, but only 11 yards through the air.  The Cardinals were penalized eight times for 82 yards and lost two fumbles.

Drew Stuck led Boone County’s ground game with 119 yards and a TD on 15 carries.  Jordan Oppenheimer carried the ball 17 times for 49 yards.  Bryson Thompson completed five of 10 passes for 102 yards.  Drew Stuck caught two passes for 65 yards.  Trevan Brown added two receptions for 38 yards.  Mikel Reynolds led the defense with four solo and nine assisted tackles.  Cody Rodriguez added three solo and five assisted tackles.

Clay County 41  Scott County 26 – QB John Wilson led Clay County to victory completing nine of 18 passes for 316 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions.

Breathitt County 26  Sheldon Clark 25 – Josh Fletcher caught three passes for 147 yards and two touchdowns including a 70 yard scoring reception from Richard Trent to complete Breathitt County’s comeback.

Corbin 52  Harlan 14 – Matthew Taylor scored five TDs to lead Corbin to victory.  Taylor scored on runs of 3, 31, and 47 yards, a 62 yard punt return, and a 53 yard pass reception.

Conner 46  Scott 6 – Cy Smith ran for four touchdowns and threw for two more TDs to lead Conner to victory.

Meade County 28  Anderson County 21 – Thomas Wilson gained 168 yards on the ground and scored a TD and Max Cundiff added 96 yards and three touchdowns to lead Meade County to victory.

Boone County 28  Henry Clay 19 – Jordan Oppenheimer carried the ball 34 times for 171 yards and three touchdowns to lead Boone County to victory.

Christ Presbyterian (TN) 20  Lexington Christian Academy 12 – Christ Presbyterian took advantage of LCA turnovers to record the victory.

St. Xavier 35  Ballard 34 – RB Jeont’a Hayden carried the ball 32 times for 161 yards as St. Xavier holds on for the victory.

Butler 21  Bryan Station 13 – Tony Overall gained 147 yards on the ground and scored two TDs and Butler’s defense came up big in their victory.

Louisville Trinity 56  Lawrence North (IN) 23 – James Quick caught nine passes for 113 yards and a touchdown to lead Trinity to victory.

Rowan County 42  Lincoln County 20  - QB Adam Wing ran for 77 yards and completed nine of 10 passes for 152 yards and Darrell Cross ran for 142 yards and two touchdowns in a Rowan County victory.

Manual 59  Fern Creek 14 – QB Ian Wooldridge threw for 326 yards and three touchdowns to lead Manual tonight.

Highlands 29  Ryle 14 – The Bluebirds continue to roll as Corey Compton ran for two touchdowns.

Frankfort 53  Paris 6 – Frankfort raced out to a 47-0 halftime lead in tonight’s victory.
