Shelby Valley coach Jim Hicks started the following lineup: 6-6 Sr. Cody Potter, 6-0 Jr. Zack Johnson, 6-3 So .Elijah Sykes, 5-7 Jr. Kelan Worrix, and 6-0 Jr. Kaden Robinson.  Paintsville coach Landon Slone countered with 6-5 So. Colby Fugate, 6-2 Jr. Ryan Gibson, 6-4 Sr. Nick Keaton, 6-1 Jr. Braxton Tharp, and 6-2 So. Baron Ratliff.

Paintsville rallied from a 13 point deficit in the second half to earn a 57-55 victory over Shelby Valley.  Paintsville shot 48.6% from the field including six of 16 from the three point line.  The Tigers connected on 15 of 20 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and committed seven turnovers.  Shelby Valley shot 35.7% from the field including eight of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Wildcats connected on 17 of 20 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and committed nine turnovers.

Colby Fugate led Paintsville with 34 points including four three point baskets, six of eight free throws, four rebounds, and two steals.  Braxton Tharp added eight points and three assists.  Nick Keaton recorded six points and 10 rebounds.

Cody Potter led Shelby Valley with 34 points including six three point baskets, 10 of 11 free throws and seven rebounds.  Elijah Sykes added nine points and six rebounds.  Kelan Worrix recorded three points, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
