Madison Southern coach Austin Newton started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Chad Fugate, 6-0 Sr. Samuel Lee, 6-2 Sr. Jonah Wooten, 5-5 Sr. Colby Sebastian, and 5-8 So. Walt Smith.  Berea Community High coach Eric Swords countered with 6-4 Jr. Jaylen Dorsey, 5-10 Sr. Will Brennan, 6-3 Jr. Jayden Smith, 5-6 So. Quenten Morgan, and 5-8 Sr. Timmy Thompson.

Madison Southern pulled away late to defeat Berea by a score of 64-52.  The score was tied 11 times and there were seven lead changes in this game.  There were a total of 56 fouls called in the game; 29 on Madison Southern and 27 on Berea.  Berea had three players foul out; Jayden Smith, Timmy Thompson, and Jaylen Dorsey while Chad Fugate and Nate Turner fouled out for Madison Southern.

Madison Southern shot 38.8% from the field including four of 19 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on 22 of 29 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 28 Berea turnovers.  Berea shot 31.1% from the field including three of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Pirates connected on 21 of 36 free throws, pulled down 49 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 14 Madison Southern turnovers.

6-4 So. Nate Turner led Madison Southern with 16 points and nine rebounds.  Samuel Lee added 14 points including 10 of 11 free throws.  Colby Sebastian, Chad Fugate, and 5-11 Sr. Hunter Buchanan each recorded nine points. 

Jayden Smith led Berea with 16 points including two three point baskets and eight rebounds.  Jaylen Dorsey added 11 points including seven of eight free throws, seven rebounds, and two assists.  Timmy Thompson recorded six points, 11 rebounds, and two steals.  Will Brennan chipped in with four points and 11 rebounds.
