George Rogers Clark coach Robbie Graham started the following lineup: 5-10 Fr. Brianna Byars, 5-7 So.Trinity Gay, 5-10 So.Tyra Flowers, 5-7 Sr.Shelbi Wilson, and 5-7 Sr. Kennedy Igo.  Mercy Academy coach Keith Baisch countered with 6-0 Sr. Paige Taylor, 5-11 Fr. Amy Thompson, 6-2 Sr. Taziah Jenks, 5-5 Sr. Hope Sivori, and 5-7 Sr. Sidney Shephard.

 

George Rogers Clark led 21-29 at halftime but Mercy Academy rallied in the second half to earn a 59-51 victory.  The score was tied three times and there were seven lead changes in the game.  Mercy Academy shot 30.2% from the field including four of 10 from the three point line.  The Jaguars connected on 23 of 35 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 15 GRC turnovers.  GRC shot 32.8% from the field including seven of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on four of 13 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 12 Mercy Academy turnovers.

 

Taziah Jenks led Mercy Academy with 27 points including 11 of 18 from the free throw line, nine rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.  Hope Sivori added 21 points including three three point baskets, eight of nine free throws, six rebounds, and three assists.  Paige Taylor pulled down 11 rebounds.

 

Kennedy Igo led GRC with 18 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, two assists, and three steals.  Brianna Byars added 11 points and 11 rebounds.  Tyra Flowers recorded seven points, nine rebounds, and two blocked shots.
