Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Lauren Thomas, 5-8 Fr. Alli Stone, 5-10 So. Kennedy Williams, 5-0 Sr.Taviona Sanford, and 5-3 Sr. Madison Cox.  Franklin County coach Joey Thacker countered with 5-6 Sr. Jasmine Simpson, 5-4 Sr. Lakin Hamblin, 5-10 So. Patience Laster, 5-3 So. Nevaeh Carter, and 5-6 Jr. Brooklynn Miles. 

 

Franklin County led 3021 at halftime and pulled away in the second half for a 61-34 victory over Henry Clay.  Franklin County shot 46.4% from the field including five of 16 from the three point line. The Lady Flyers connected on four of seven free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 22 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 31.7% from the field including three of nine from beyond the arc.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on five of seven free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored eight points off 10 Franklin County turnovers.

 

Patience Laster led Franklin County with 21 points and six rebounds.  Brooklynn Miles added 10 points, four rebounds, seven assists, and five steals.  Jasmine Simpson recorded 10 points including two three point baskets and six rebounds.  Neveah Carter chipped in with seven points, three rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

 

Kennedy Williams led Henry Clay with nine points.  5-5 Jr. Ravion Jackson added six points.  Alli Stone recorded five points and five rebounds and Lauren Thomas pulled down seven rebounds.
