Tennessee Tech University coach Kim Rosamond started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Anacia Wilkinson, 5-7 Sr. Akia Harris, 6-3 Jr. Mackenzie Coleman, 5-7 Jr. Kesha Brady, and 5-7 Jr. Jordan Brook.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Samantha Williams countered with 5-11 Jr. Bria Bass, 5-10 Fr. Maleaha Bell, 6-2 Jr. I’Liyah Green, 5-6 Jr. Qay Stanton, and 5-7 Jr. De’Ayra Davis.  (Teri Goodlett and Shay Solomon were suspended for tonight’s game).

 

Tennessee Tech raced out to a 19-7 first quarter and led by 23 points in the third quarter on their way to a 60-42 victory over Eastern Kentucky.  Tennessee Tech shot 32.8% from the field including eight of 30 from the three point line.  The Golden Eagles connected on 14 of 20 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 19 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 22.2% from the field including four of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 14 of 17 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 14 Tennessee Tech turnovers.

 

Kesha Brady led Tennessee Tech with 17 points including four three point baskets and five rebounds.  Mackenzie Coleman added 12 points, eight rebounds, and five blocked shots.  5-9 Fr. Maaliya Owens  recorded nine points on three three point baskets.  Jordan Brock also scored nine points.  Akia Harris recorded seven points, eight rebounds, and five assists.  Anacia Wilkinson added five points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.

 

D’Ayra Davis led Eastern Kentucky with nine points, three rebounds, and two assists.  Bria Bass added seven points and seven rebounds.  6-1 Jr. Samari Mowbray recorded seven points.  6-1 Fr. Anysa Jordan added five points, nine rebounds, and two steals.
