Great Crossing coach Steve Page started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Michael McKenzie, 6-2 So. Tye Schureman, 6-8 Sr. Jaylin Barber, 5-8 Sr. Neil Baker, and 6-1 Sr. KJ Tucker.  Scott County coach Tim Glenn countered with 6-4 Jr. Elias Richardson, 6-1 Jr. Mikaleb Coffey, 6-6 Sr. Terrin Hamilton, 5-10 Jr. Chase Grigsby, and 6-0 Sr. Aaron Leake.

 

Great Crossing outscored Scott County 13-6 in the third quarter on their way to a 64-52 victory over Scott County in a big victory for Great Crossing in their inaugural season.  There were four lead changes and two ties in the game.  Great Crossing shot 46.3% from the field including six of 11 from the three point line.  The Warhawks connected on 20 of 25 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 11 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 40% from the field including three of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Cardinals connected on nine of 11 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 11 Great Crossing turnovers.

 

Tye Schureman led five Great Crossing starters in double figures with 15 points including four three point baskets.  Jaylin Barber added 14 points, 11 rebounds, and five blocked shots.  Neil Baker recorded 13 points, three rebounds, and four assists.  Michael McKenzie chipped in with 12 points, five rebounds, and three steals.  KJ Tucker added 10 points and six rebounds.

 

Terrin Hamilton led Scott County with 18 points and four rebounds.  Aaron Leake also scored 18 points.
