Mayfield coach Joe Morris started the following lineup: 6-5 Sr. Carson Guthrie, 6-1 Sr. Desean Jones, 6-2 Jr. Kade Neely, 6-0 Sr. Kent Trey Matthews, and 6-3 Sr. Connor Guthrie.  Warren Central coach William Unseld countered with 6-3 Jr. DAndre Boyd, 6-2 Sr. Tayshaun Bibb, 6-4 Sr. Kris Horn, 5-9 Sr. Jamale Barber, and 5-9 Jr. Kobe Brents.

 

Warren Central led 30-26 at halftime and pulled away in the second half for a 73-55 victory over Mayfield.  Warren Central shot 47.4% from the field including seven of 19 from the three point line.  The Dragons connected on 12 of 15 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 16 Mayfield turnovers.  Mayfield shot 42% from the field including four of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Cardinals connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored nine points off nine Warren Central turnovers.

 

Dre Boyd led Warren Central with 18 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and two blocked shots.  Tayshaun Bibb added 15 points including seven of eight free throws, eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  5-11 Sr. Aiyontre Pillow recorded 13 points including three three point baskets.  Kris Horn pulled down seven rebounds.

 

Carson Guthrie led Mayfield with 12 points, 13 rebounds, and three assists.  Kent Trey Matthews added 12 points, three rebounds, and three assists.  Kade Neely recorded 11 points and four rebounds.
