Somerset coach Bobby Bowling started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Lauren Foutch, 5-7 So. Madison Garland, 6-0 8th Grade Payton Acey, 5-1 So. Addi Bowling, and 5-7 8th Grade Grace Bruner. Lexington Christian Academy coach Haley Lee countered with 5-9 Sr. Grace Combs. 5-7 Sr. Brooke Allison, 5-9 Sr. Malinda Lemons, 5-4 8th Grade Addy Buckler, and 5-5 Jr. Jaylin McClanahan.
Somerset defeated Lexington Christian Academy by a score of 60-48. Somerset shot 51.9% from the field including two of 15 from the three point line. The Briarjumpers connected on four of 12 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 13 LCA turnovers. Lexington Christian Academy shot 31.3% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc. The Lady Eagles connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 10 Somerset turnovers.
6-1 Fr. Rachel Presley led Somerset with 33 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocked shots. Presley was 16 of 19 from the field and one of four from the free throw line. Grace Bruner added 13 points and three assists. Addi Bowling recorded eight points, seven assists, and two steals.
Grace Combs led LCA with 22 points including 11 of 12 free throws, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals. 5-6 Fr. Sophia Gabbert 10 points including two three point baskets. Jaylin McClanahan recorded eight points, six rebounds, and two assists. 5-9 So. Gracie Royalty added six points, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots.
