Lafayette coach Allison Denton started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Lindi DeBilzan, 5-8 Sr. Caroline Bennett, 5-10 Sr. Tekiya Garr-Carter, 5-7 Sr. Terri Abram, and 5-8 Fr. Rylie Grantz.  Lexington Christian Academy coach Michael Menifee countered with 5-8 Jr. Grace Combs, 5-6 So. MacKenzie Buckler, 5-7 Fr. Gracie Royalty, 5-6 So. Jaylin McClanahan, and 5-8 Jr. Bethany Selby.

 

Lafayette led 31-24 at halftime and pulled away in the second half to defeat Lexington Christian Academy 68-32.  There were four lead changes and three ties in the first half.  Lafayette shot 46.2% from the field including 11 of 27 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 32 points off 25 LCA turnovers.  LCA shot 21.2% from the field including two of seven from beyond the arc and only connected on one field goal on 11 attempts in the second half.  The Lady Eagles connected on 16 of 20 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored five points off 14 Lafayette turnovers.

 

Caroline Bennett led Lafayette with 35 points including nine three point baskets, eight rebounds, three assists, three blocked shots, and five steals.  Lindi DeBilzan added 14 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, three assists, two blocked shots, and five steals.  Tekiya Garr-Carter recorded eight points and eight rebounds.  Terri Abram dished out seven assists.

 

Bethany Selby led LCA with 13 points and five rebounds.  Grace Combs added eight points.
