Scott County coach Billy Hicks started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Cooper Robb, 6-1 Jr. Bryce Long, 6-7 Jr. Michael Moreno, 5-9 Jr. Diablo Stewart, and 5-11 Jr. Glenn Covington. Woodford County coach Ryan Wilson countered with 6-1 Jr. Brandon Cromwell, 6-1 Jr. Corey George, 6-1 Sr. Jayden Hamilton, 5-8 Jr. Benjamin Nash, and 5-10 Jr. Ryan Duke.
Scott County struggled tonight but finally managed to defeat Woodford County by a score of 60-56. Scott County led Woodford County 25-11 after the first quarter but Woodford County outscored the Cardinals 45-35 the rest of the game.. Scott County shot 45.1% from the field including seven of 22 from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on seven of 16 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored nine points off 18 Woodford County turnovers. Woodford County shot 46.5% from the field including seven of 18 from beyond the arc. Thje Yellowjackets connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored nine points off 12 Scott County turnovers.
Diablo Stewart led Scott County with 13 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and three assists. Bryce Long led 11 points and five rebounds. Glenn Covington also scored 11 points. Cooper Robb chipped in with 10 points, three rebounds, and three steals. Michael Moreno recorded six points, 11 rebounds, and four blocked shots.
Corey George led Woodford County with 18 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Brandon Cromwell added 17 points including three three point baskets, seven rebounds, and three assists. Ryan Duke recorded 11 points including two three point baskets.
