Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Nick Runyon started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Cheyenne Fullwood, 5-8 Sr. Peyton Humphreys, 6-0 Fr. Elise Ellison-Coons, 5-6 Sr. Mashayla Cecil, and 5-8 Sr. Anaiyah Cotton.  Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford countered with 5-8 Sr. Cheyenne Jones, 5-8 Sr. Braxton Price, 5-10 Sr. Oriona Woods, 5-4 Sr. Alexis Lutz, and 5-7 Jr. Kiya Thompson.


Henry Clay defeated Paul Laurence Dunbar by a score of 61-55 in a game in which they attempted 28 fewer shots from the field (62-34) than Dunbar.  Henry Clay shot 55.9% from the field including four of seven from the three point line.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on 19 of 26 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 13 points off eight Dunbar turnovers.  Dunbar shot 30.6% from the field including one of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Bulldogs connected on 16 of 18 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 11 Henry Clay turnovers.


Kiya Thompson led Henry Clay with 23 points including four three point baskets.  Thompson was eight of eight from the field including four of four from beyond the arc and three of four free throws.  Oriona Woods added 11 points.  Cheyenne Jones recorded eight points, seven rebounds, and three assists.  Braxton Price chipped in with six points, four rebounds, and three assists.  Alexis Lutz also scored eight points.


Peyton Humphreys led Paul Laurence Dunbar with 17 points and eight rebounds.  Elise Ellison-Coons added 16 points and 11 rebounds.  Mashayla Cecil recorded 12 points including six of six free throws.  Anaiyah Cotton chipped in with seven points and nine rebounds.
