Scott County vs. Boone County (Girls)

Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Maaliya Owens, 5-10 Sr. Peyton Riddle, 5-10 Sr. Zakiyia Holt, 5-5 So. Danielle DeFoor, and 5-5 Jr. Juliette Smith.  Boone County coach Ryan Bowman countered with 5-5 Sr. Maleah Hirn, 5-4 Sr. Tessa Gieske, 5-10 Sr. Mary Ann Wilmes, 5-0 Fr. Kelsie Anderson, and 5-3 Sr. Gracie Vest.

 

Scott County defeated Bonne County by a score of 75-48.  Scott County shot 39.2% from the field including seven of 23 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 53 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 19 Boone County turnovers.  Boone County shot 23.5% from the field including one of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Rebels connected on 23 of 36 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 16 Scott County turnovers.

 

Juliette Smith led Scott County with 18 points including two three point baskets, four assists, and two steals.  Maaliya Owens added 16 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, and four steals.  6-2 So. Malea Williams recorded 16 points and four rebounds.  Morgan DeFoor chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds.  Peyton Riddle added six points, six rebounds, five assists, and three steals.

 

Tessa Gieske led Boone County with 16 points including eight of 11 free throws, five rebounds, and three steals.  Maleah Hirn added nine points, three rebounds, and two blocked shots.
