Jacksonville State raced out to an 18-7 first quarter lead on their way to a 65-51 victory over Eastern Kentucky. Jacksonville State shot 36.2% from the field including four of 10 from the three point line. The Gamecocks connected on 19 of 28 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 15 Eastern Kentucky turnovers. Eastern Kentucky shot 31.1% from the field including three of 13 from beyond the arc. Taylor Hawks led Jacksonville State with 18 points including two three point baskets and eight of nine free throws. 6-1 Sr. Tyler Phelion added 14 points, seven rebounds, and four blocked shots. 6-1 So. Chloe Long recorded 11 points and four rebounds. Rayven Pearson added seven points, 12 rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.
