Male coach Champ Ligon started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Joelle Johnson, 5-9 Fr. Alana Striverson, 6-1 Jr. Cameron Browning, 5-6 Sr. Ciaja Harbison, and 5-6 8th Grade Kynidi Striverson. Murray Coach Wayne Foust countered with 5-8 Jr. Parker Greer, 5-7 Jr. Lizzy Curtis, 5-9 Sr. Alexis Burpo, 5-7 Sr. Macey Turley, and 5-7 Sr. Lex Mayes.
Murray led 30-19 in the second quarter but rallied behind the clutch play of Emilia Sexton (11 points) and Ciaja Harbison (7 points) in the final quarter to earn a 63-58 victory and the championship over the Lady Tigers. The score was tied five times and there were four lead changes in the game. Male shot 42.6% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line. The Lady Bulldogs connected on 19 0f 25 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 16 Murray turnovers. Murray shot 45.5% from the field including six of 14 from beyond the arc. The Lady Tigers connected on 12 of 19 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 14 points off nine Male turnovers.
Ciaja Harbison led Male with 14 points, five rebounds, and four steals. 5-6 Sr. Emilia Sexton added 13 points including two three point baskets. Cameron Browning recorded 10 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots. Alana Striverson chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets. Joelle Johnson added seven points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.
Alexis Burpo led Murray with 20 points, eight rebounds, and three assists. Macey Turley added 15 points including two three point baskets, seven of eight free throws, six rebounds, six assists, and four steals. Lex Mayes recorded 13 points including two three point baskets and seven rebounds.
