Eastern Kentucky coach Dan McHale started the following lineup: 6-8 Jr. Jackson Davis, 6-7 Sr. Zach Charles, 6-9 Jr. Nick Mayo, 5-11 So. Asante Gist, and 6-4 Fr. Dedric Boyd.  Oregon State coach Wayne Tinkle countered with 6-8 Sr. Seth Berger, 6-8 So. Tres Tinkle, 6-10 Jr. Drew Eubanks, 6-4 Jr. Stephen Thompson Jr., and 6-5 Fr. Ethan Thompson.

 

Oregon State trailed 35-31 at halftime but outscored Eastern Kentucky 43-27 in the second half to earn a 74-62 victory.  The score was tied three times and there were seven lead changes in the game.  Oregon State shot 55.6% from the field including seven of 17 from the three point line.  They connected on seven of 14 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 12 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 45.5% from the field including nine of 24 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on three of six free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 12 Oregon State turnovers.

 

Stephen Thompson Jr. led Oregon State with 26 points including four three point baskets and six assists.  Tres Tinkle added 21 points including two three point baskets, eight rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  Drew Eubanks chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds.

 

Nick Mayo led Eastern Kentucky with 15 points, nine rebounds, and four assists.  Asante Gist added 15 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, and three assists.  Dedric Boyd chipped in with 12 points.  Jackson Davis pulled down eight rebounds.
