Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman started the following lineup: 6-5 Sr. Zan Payne, 6-3 Sr. TC Price, 6-7 Sr. Max Sparkman, 6-0 Sr. Keegan Bailey, and 6-1 Fr. Ben Johnson. Wolfe County coach Robert Creech countered with 6-2 Sr. Deven Stone, 6-0 Fr. Jaz Johnson,6-1 Sr. Shawn Lindon, 5-10 So. Hunter Brewer, and 5-11 Sr. Jacob King.
Lexington Catholic outscored Wolfe County 24-10 in the second quarter on their way to a 68-50 victory. Lexington Catholic shot 55.8% from the field including six of 24 from the three point line. The Knights connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 16 Wolfe County turnovers. Wolfe County shot 34.9% from the field including nine of 26 from beyond the arc. The Wolves connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored seven points off 12 Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Zan Payne led Lexington Catholic with 24 points, six rebounds, and three steals. Keegan Bailey added 14 points including four three point baskets. Ben Johnson recorded seven points, five rebounds, three assists, and six steals. 5-11 Jr. Javen Hardin added six points and seven assists.
Deven Stone led Wolfe County with 23 points including five three point baskets and five rebounds. Shawn Lindon added 11 points including two three point baskets. Jaz Johnson chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.
