Whitley County coach David Estes started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Seirra Feltner, 5-5 Sr. Abbey Estes, 6-1 Jr. MacKenzie Smith, 5-1 Jr. Kaelie Frazier, and 5-2 Sr. Hannah Clear. Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 5-7 Sr. Blaze Pacheco, 5-7 So. Taleya Todd 5-10 So. Je’Kauri McKeithen, 5-5 Sr. Bailey Vanover, and 5-6 Jr. Madison Barnard.
Whitley County connected on five three point baskets in the first half and took advantage of Madison Central turnovers to take a 32-15 halftime lead on their way to a 48-36 victory. Whitley County shot 45.5% from the field including six of 20 from the three point line. The Colonels connected on two of three free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 17 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 31.7% from the field including three three point baskets. The Indians connected on seven of 14 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored nine points off five Whitley County turnovers.
Seirra Feltner led Whitley County with 13 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Kaelie Frazier added 12 points including three three point baskets and two steals. Abbey Estes recorded 11 points including three three point baskets, four assists, and two steals.
Taleya Todd led Madison Central with 13 points and three rebounds. Bailey Vanover added 11 points and seven rebounds. Blaze Pacheco recorded six points and nine rebounds. Je’Kauri McKeithen also pulled down nine rebounds.
