6-1 Sr. Kendall Peters scored on a put back at the buzzer to give West Jessamine an 86-85 upset victory over Paul Laurence Dunbar.  Until the dramatic conclusion the big news tonight was that Dunbar’s Taveion Hollingsworth became the all time Lexington scoring leader on a basket in the third quarter and ended the night with 2,422 total points scored during his career which surpassed the 2.408 points scored by Mike Allen of Bryan Station.

 

West Jessamine shot 53.4% from the field including eight of 19 from the three point line.  The Colts connected on 16 of 23 free throws and pulled down 33 rebounds.  Paul Laurence Dunbar shot 63.3% from the field including three of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Bulldogs connected on 12 of 15 free throws and pulled down 24 rebounds.

 

5-10 Sr. Isaiah Okesson led West Jessamine with 33 points.  5-11 So. Dalton Bruner added 24 points and 6-1 Sr. Kendall Peters recorded nine points.

 

6-2 Sr. Taveion Hollingsworth led Dunbar with 42 points.  5-10 Jr. JaQuice Gray added 14 points and 6-3 Sr. Javea Richardson chipped in with 15 points.  6-4 So. Star Ifeacho recorded six points and nine rebounds.
