Lexington Christian Academy coach Nate Valentine started the following lineup: 6-6 Jr. Carter Hendricksen, 6-6 So. Kyle Rode, 6-6 Jr. Austin Hall, 6-0 Jr. Chandler Stewart, and 6-2 Sr. Nathan Harper. Covington Holy Cross coach Ryan Schrand countered with 6-2 Sr. Jaylin Williams, 6-1 Sr. Will Volpenhein, 6-4 So. Ty Houston, 5-10 Jr. Nolan Schrand, and 5-11 Jr. Parker Zimmerman.
Covington Holy Cross defeated Lexington Christian Academy 56-54 in overtime. Holy Cross shot 35.1% from the field including six of 25 from the three point line. The Indians connected on 10 of 19 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 13 LCA turnovers. LCA shot 31.4% from the field including four of 18 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on 18 of 22 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 12 points off nine Holy Cross turnovers.
Nolan Schrand led Covington Holy Cross with 13 points including two three point baskets and three assists. Ty Houston added 11 points and six rebounds. Jaylin Williams recorded seven points and four rebounds. Will Volpenhein added six points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and four steals.
Kyle Rode led Lexington Christian Academy with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Carter Hendricksen added 14 points and 11 rebounds.
