Pulaski County coach Tarah Muntz started the following lineup: 5-5 Sr. Jeriah Privett, 5-9 Fr. Haley Brock, 5-9 Sr. Brooklyn Snow, 5-3 Sr. Mackenzie McCollum, and 5-3 Sr. Kyra Eads. Wayne County coach Tim Pyles countered with 5-9 Sr. Ashton Bell, 5-8 Jr. Hannah Jackson, 5-10 Sr. Megan Burchett, 5-7 8th Grade Macey Blevins, and 5-7 Sr. Taylor Bell.
Wayne County led 39-28 after three quarters and survived a late Pulaski County rally to earn a 51-47 victory. Wayne County shot 50% from the field including six of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Cardinals connected on nine of 10 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and did not score off five Pulaski County turnovers. Pulaski County shot 37% from the field including six of 23 from beyond the arc. The Lady Maroons connected on five of seven free throws, pulled down 16 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 17 Wayne County turnovers.
Ashton Bell led Wayne County with 16 points and six rebounds. Macey Blevins added 13 points including two three point baskets and five rebounds. Hannah Jackson recorded 11 points including three three point baskets. Taylor Bell chipped in with seven points and Megan Burchett pulled down six rebounds.
Kyra Eads led Pulaski County with 17 points including three three point baskets. 5-5 Fr. Jordyn Stephens added 14 points including two three point baskets. Brooklyn Snow chipped in with six points.
