Model coach Candace Wells started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Emily Jackson, 5-9 Sr. Mallory Smith, 6-2 So. Lauren Jackson, 5-1 So. Savanna Gullett, and 5-7 Jr. Peyton Erslan.  Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 5-10 Sr. Lindsey Johns, 5-10 Sr. Charity Mack, 6-0 Sr. Mallie Cornett, 5-4 Jr. Bailee Vanover, and 5-7 Sr. Kasi Schneid.

 

Madison Central raced out to a 41-15 lead and substituted liberally the rest of the game in a 51-40 victory.  The Indians recorded 25 steals and eight blocked shots, and scored 27 points off 34 Model turnovers.  Madison Central shot 28.6% from the field including seven of 17 from the three point line.  They attempted 37 more shots (70-33) from the field than Model.  The Indians connected on four of 11 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and held a 14-0 advantage in bench scoring.  Model shot 33.3% from the field including two of six from beyond the arc.  The Patriots connected on 16 of 24 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored 10 points of 12 Madison Central turnovers.

 

Lindsey Johns led Madison central with 18 points, five rebounds, and five steals.  Charity Mack led nine points on three three point baskets and two blocked shots.  Kasi Schneid recorded six points, six rebounds, four assists, and eight steals.  Mallie Cornett pulled down five rebounds and blocked three shots.  5-4 Fr. Taleya Todd and 5-10 Fr. Jekauri McKeithen added seven and six points respectively.

 

Emily Jackson recorded a triple-double for Model with 19 points, 18 rebounds, and 10 blocked shots.  Mallory Smith added 12 points, six rebounds, and three steals.
