Bryan Station coach Tommy Johnson started the following lineup: 6-4 Fr. Nathan Mack, 6-3 Sr. David Demarcus, 6-7 Sr. Braeden Warren, 5-10 Jr. Eric Boone, and 6-1 Jr. Terrance Clayton-Murphy. Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III countered with 5-10 Sr. Jajuante Carpenter, 5-10 So. Evan Dreux, 6-0 Sr. Cameron Greenup, 5-9 Sr. Chris Wharton, and 5-10 Jr. Eric Powell.
Bryan Station led 25-16 in the second quarter but Chris Wharton scored on a putback at the buzzer to give Lafayette a 49-47 victory. The score was tied twice and there were eight lead changes in the game. Lafayette shot 35.7% from the field including six of 25 from the three point line. The Generals connected on three of eight free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 20 Bryan Station turnovers. Bryan Station shot 46.7% from the field including two of 15 from beyond the arc. The Defenders connected on three of six free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 11 Lafayette turnovers.
6-1 Jr. Cameron King led Lafayette with 10 points including two three point baskets. Jajuante Carpenter added nine points. Chris Wharton recorded seven points and four assists. Evan Dreux and 6-9 Fr. Ray Surratt also scored seven points each.
David Demarcus led Bryan Station with 14 points including two three point baskets and six rebounds. Nathan Mack added eight points and 11 rebounds. Terrance Clayton- Murphy also scored eight points. Eric Boone recorded seven points, seven rebounds, 10 assists, and two steals. Braeden Warren added six points and nine rebounds.
