Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Zee Willix, 5-9 Sr. Katie Pippen, 5-11 So. Abby Wright, 5-3 Jr. Marcella Rocha, and 5-8 Sr. Alexus Cooper.  UNCG coach Trina Patterson countered with 5-8 Jr. Te’ja Twitty, 5-9 Fr. Nadine Soliman, 6-0 Sr. India Timpton, 5-6 Fr. Alexis Pritchford, and 5-7 Sr. Bailey Williams.

The score was tied 39-39 at halftime but UNCG outscored the Colonels 24-14 in the third quarter on their way to an 81-66 victory.  The score was tied four times and there were two lead changes in the game.  UNCG shot 45.8% from the field including two of eight from the three point line.  They connected on 25 of 33 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 20 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 44.8% from the field including five of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 14 UNCG turnovers.

Te’ja Twitty led UNCG with 20 points including eight of nine free throws and eight rebounds.  Nadine Soliman also scored 20 points including seven of eight free throws and five rebounds.  Alexis Pritchford recorded 19 points including seven of 10 free throws and five assists.

6-1 Sr. Jalen O’Bannon led Eastern Kentucky University with 16 points, six rebounds, and five blocked shots.  Abby Wright added 11 points and six rebounds.  Alexus Cooper chipped in with nine points.  5-11 Sr. Shavontae Naylor recorded eight points and five rebounds.
