Lincoln County coach Jeff Jackson started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Tanner McAninch, 5-9 Sr. Devin Alcorn, 6-2 Jr. Nick Noland, 5-8 Sr. Noah Young, and 5-10 Jr. Chase Phillips. Madison Southern coach Shane Buttry countered with 6-2 Sr. Michael Jefferson, 6-0 Sr. Noah Marshall, 6-2 Sr. Bryar Rose, 5-9 Jr. Shawn Short, and 6-0 Sr. Caleb Miller.
Madison Southern led 47-27 in the final quarter but had to withstand a furious Lincoln County rally to earn a 67-63 victory. There were 11 lead changes and two ties in this game. Madison Southern shot 48.9% from the field including seven of 13 from the three point line. The Eagles connected on 14 of 29 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 Lincoln County turnovers. Lincoln County shot 48.1% from the field including nine of 25 from beyond the arc. The Patriots connected on four of seven free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 11 Madison Southern turnovers.
Michael Jefferson led Madison Southern with 23 points including two three point baskets, nine rebounds, and five assists. Bryar Rose added 15 points including two three point baskets and six rebounds. Caleb Miller chipped in with nine points and four rebounds. Noah Marshall recorded eight points and eight rebounds.
Noah Young led Lincoln County with 37 points including five three point baskets. Devin Alcorn added 13 points including three point baskets.
