Franklin County coach Joey Thacker started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Rebecca Cook, 5-6 Jr. Savannah Courtney, 5-9 Sr. Malaka Frank, 5-8 Jr. Princess Stewart, and 5-9 Sr. Anna Arrastia. Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford countered with 5-8 So. Braxton Price, 5-8 Jr. Lexi Long, 5-10 Sr. Nakeisha Green, 5-6 Sr. T’Laya Lyvers, and 5-7 Fr. Kiya Thompson.
Franklin County outscored Henry Clay 20-8 in the second quarter on their way to a 64-53 victory. Franklin County shot 41.5% from the field including three of 12 from the three point line. The Lady Flyers connected on 17 of 33 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 20 Henry Clay turnovers. Henry Clay shot 35.3% from the field including one of six from beyond the arc. The Lady Blue Devils connected on 16 of 30 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored eight points off 14 Franklin County turnovers.
Princess Stewart led Franklin County with 21 points, five rebounds, and three steals. Rebecca Cook added 13 points and seven rebounds. 5-4 7th Grade Brooklyn Miles scored 10 points. Savannah Courtney chipped in with nine points, five rebounds, and three assists. Malaka Frank added seven points and six rebounds.
T’Laya Lyvers led Henry Clay with 22 points, 12 rebounds, and five steals. 5-9 Sr. Jordyn Jackson added nine points and seven rebounds. Nakeisha Green recorded seven points and eight rebounds.
