Scott County coach Billy Hicks started the following lineup: 6-6 Fr. Michael Moreno, 6-5 Sr. Clem Damron, 6-4 Jr. Cooper Watts, 6-1 Fr. Bryce Long, and 6-1 So. Cooper Robb. Lexington Christian Academy coach Nate Valentine countered with 6-5 Fr. Kyle Rode, 6-2 Sr. Trevor Hill, 6-6 Jr. Tre King, 5-10 Fr. Pearce Dalton, and 6-1 Fr. Isaiah Hunt.
Lexington Christian Academy led 33-28 at halftime but Scott County rallied to lead 44-43 after three quarters and finished off the game with a 26-8 run to earn a 70-51 victory. The score was tied four times and there were nine lead changes in the game. Scott County shot 38.1% from the field including eight of 18 from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on 14 of 15 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 22 LCA turnovers. LCA shot 46.8% from the field including three of 10 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on four of seven free throws, pulled down 29 turnovers, and scored five points off 14 Scott County turnovers.
Bryce Long led Scott County with 19 points including five three point baskets. Michael Moreno added 15 points, eight rebounds, and four steals. Cooper Robb recorded 14 points and six rebounds. 6-1 Fr. Glenn Covington chipped in with 13 points including three three point baskets.
Kyle Rode led LCA with 22 points and eight rebounds. Tre King added 11 points.
