Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Kerrigan Davis, 5-6 Sr. Nakiyra Joyce, 5-11 Jr. Nakeisha Green, 5-6 Sr. Destiny Carter, and 5-6 Jr. T’Laya Lyvers.  Bitler coach Larry Just countered with 5-10 Jr. Micaiah Bowden, 5-9 So. Jaelynn Penn, 5-11 Sr. Miah Casey, 5-5 So. Bre Torrens, and 5-8 So. Tasia Jeffries.

Butler led 40-31 after three quarters and withstood a Henry Clay rally to earn a 51-49 victory.  Butler shot 43.2% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line.  The Bearettes connected on nine of 18 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 22 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 33.3% from the field including four of 11 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 27 Butler turnovers.

Jaelynn Penn led Butler with 17 points, four rebounds, and three steals.  Miah Casey added seven points and eight rebounds.  Tasia Jeffries also scored seven points.

Destiny Carter led Henry Clay with 12 points and five steals.  Kerrigan Davis also scored 12 points.  T’Laya Lyvers recorded 10 points, 18 rebounds, and four steals.
