West Jessamine coach Damon Kelley started the following lineup: 6-4 Sr. Brooks Ely, 6-3 Jr. Siah Holifield, 6-4 Sr. Dalton Crouse, 6-0 Jr. Camron Seater, and 6-0 Sr. David McCorvey.  South Laurel coach Jeff Davis countered with 6-5 Sr. Zach Allen, 6-4 Fr. Ryan Anders, 6-8 Jr. Caleb Taylor, 5-10 Jr. Braden Miller, and 6-1 So. Jared Grubb.

South Laurel raced out to a 22-9 first quarter lead on their way to an 82-61 victory over West Jessamine.  South Laurel shot 58.6% from the field including six of 14 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 10 points off nine West Jessamine turnovers.  West Jessamine shot 40% from the field including three of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Colts connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 14 South Laurel turnovers.

Zach Allen led South Laurel with 28 points.  Jared Grubb added 17 points including three three point baskets and six rebounds.  Caleb Taylor recorded 15 points and 13 rebounds.

David McCorvey led West Jessamine with 17 points, five rebounds, and three steals.  Siah Holifield added 15 points including two three point baskets.  Brooks Ely recorded 11 points, eight rebounds, and six assists.
